Teriyaki Spice — Restaurant in Spokane

Food was Good. When I finally got it. Went in on my lunch break at noon, there were three or four couples 3 tables already had their food one couple was waiting. I stood at the counter for a good 5 minutes before any staff even came to the front. Once I did get my order taken I stood and watched this poor guy handle requests from customers so awkwardly and unefficient. Whoever was working the counter that day needs massive training and time management skills he was kind and polite don't get me wrong but if this place wants to really succeed they need better trained staff. The food was great however the only thing I would recommend is having the salad dressing on the side and give another option other than the dressing that is placed it. Like ranch is always a winner. If you are looking for authentic Japanese teriyaki, this is not it. I arrived in Spokane after 8pm and it was one of the places that were still open. It is more of a fast food vibe than an actual sit down restaurant. The food was very average. the Yakisoba noodles were a far cry from the real thing. The beef was a strange roast beef-like deli slices instead of strips. The prices are also high relative to the lower quality ingredients and underwhelming food that's served in takeaway boxes. I was trying to avoid fast food, but ended up spending $20 for noodles and a gross fountain lemonade I couldn't even drink. I honestly regretted not getting a good burger for a lot less...

We’ve been looking for a teriyaki place comparable to our hometown of Portland. In 4 years of living here, nothing came close until the grand opening of Teriyaki Spice. Wow— this place is phenomenal! The food was incredible, they have air hockey and movies playing in the dining area. Not to mention the service— Bryan was so friendly and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our experience. We live in the Valley but will be making frequent trips over to Spokane to satisfy our teriyaki cravings, because Teriyaki Spice is the only place in Spokane that can do that for us.
