THE ABSOLUTE BEST BEST BEST Chinese food you will ever eat. If you don't feel like going out to eat, there are always the options to pre-order and pick up in the restaurant or delivery. It's funny..... My mouth is literally watering as I'm writing this review, that's how delicious the food is. The Red Dragon is a family owned restaurant that has been here since I can remember (I'm 45 so that's a longggggg time) with two locations to choose from.... One in the Hiliard area on Ruby street, and another in downtown Spokane. There is also a third location for delivery option only in Spokane Valley. The Chan family really are incredibly wonderful and genuine people. You can really see how much they are adored when you sit and observe how the customers relate with the servers and how personal everyone is with one another, its like one big family. One of my favorite things is when I called to make an order to be delivered and I was asked if I wanted any doggy treats, a complimentary snack for your pets that comes with your food in little containers. Doggy treats are the BBQ Pork pieces and end cuts chopped up into small sizes. The fact that the owners are animal lovers speaks volumes about the kind of people they are. The menu offers traditional authentic Chinese dishes, as well as more " Americanized" choices, a Vegan menu is offered as well as gluten free options. They attempt to meet the needs of everyone. Even if its just getting together in one of the lounges you will always leave Red Dragon with a good experience and look forward to your next visit. They have live entertainment from Belly Dancing, Karoke, dancing to DJ music, pool tables, and wonderful customers, bar tenders with heavy hands..... No weak drinks here, and super service and great environment. So make this your next "out to dinner" choice. Or lounge time for some drinks to unwind and have some fun. No matter what, the whole Chan's Red Dragon experience will leave you full, content,...
Read moreI'm a door dash driver and picked up an order here and while I was there I glanced at the menu and was pleasantly surprised to find a wide array of vegan options. I've literally never had a Chinese food entree as a lifelong vegetarian because plant based options simply don't exist so seeing an entire page dedicated to vegan full entrees made my day and I placed an order on my next day off. I was definitely turned off a bit by the high prices shown on the online menus so I was again pleasantly surprised when I placed my order and was told it would be less than 20$ for the sweet and sour tofu, spring rolls, and sesame buns. They said it would be ready in half an hour to 45 minutes so I took my time driving there but it was ready in less than 30 minutes. I was excited to dig into my plant based meal but when I got home I was disappointed that the sesame buns I'd really wanted to try were missing from my order. :( I had specified on the phone that I wanted the sesame buns with the coconut sauce so I don't understand why they missed that. I called them and they told me to come back in and get them. I ate my meal and it was delicious. I am so happy that I've found a Chinese restaurant that makes a wide selection of plant based food, something I've been waiting for for a long time. I was disappointed that they forgot my sesame buns and I don't understand why they missed this on a slow Sunday night so there is definitely room for improvement in regards to customer service. It seems from the other reviews that this is a common mishap so it seems they really need to work on providing better service and listening better. I hope they do improve these things because the food was great and I will for sure be back. I would have given 3 stars but I'm just so stoked that FINALLY there's a Chinese food restaurant that offers meat-free vegan and vegetarian options. It's worth the visit, just be very clear about...
Read moreSo disappointing. There were only patrons at 3 tables when I came in. I sat down at a booth because the sign at the door stated "seat yourself" and was not even greeted for 15 minutes, only after I was putting my jacket on to leave did the server bring a menu. 20 minutes later she returned to take my order. I had to ask for water. The booths to my left stayed dirty and covered in leftover food and dishes my entire visit. I received my food in 30 minutes after ordering. So 5 minutes shy of an hour I begin eating. I ordered the Seafood Chow Mien. It had a single shrimp, and five bay scallops that were about the size of a thumbnail. There was the equivalent of two calamari rings cut into small pieces, about 6-8 pieces (1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch wide) and enough oil to float a boat. I was done eating in less than 10 minutes and di not take my leftovers...waited for 15 more minutes for the server who did not show. I asked the buser who finally had begun cleaning tables (I think maybe he was doubling as a delivery driver?!?), to please find my server, I would like to leave. I paid nearly $12 for this lovely 1hour 45 minute decent into learning, the hard way, that I have not yet found a good Chinese...
