When you first enter; it will seem pleasant, good food smells and happy server. But, the moment you order everything starts going downhill. I ordered a beer (yes around morning time because it was my day off) and the beer was months past the expiration date, that and it tasted off which made me examine the expiration date. When we got our food (20) mins later and requested kindly if the server could replace the beer. Considering I took one tiny sip from it. She immediately responded "well... Are you still breathing?" And I just simply said "yes" so then she says "well, the beer must be fine then". And she laughed about and walked off. Through out the time we spent eating the server would randomly come up to us and start ranting about absolutely nothing (it was really just annoying) when we decide to leave and pay our bill i told her I didn't drink my expired/gross beer and asked if I was still being charged for it? She simply laughed and said "nothing is free my dear". So... I guess I'd just pay for it. What was also intriguing was the fact that at the register where you pay their was the option to tip a percentage of the bill. The lowest option was 20%... Then 25% and the third option was 30% this place is barely staying a float and honestly I really don't feel...

Uncle Rusty's is a brand new Diner with a 70's vibe to it with it's retro interior design. They have only been around since February, but they have made a great addition here in Spokane. Their food is fresh and flavorful. The portions are generous which is a great plus on top of the already affordable prices they have here. I stand by Uncle Rusty's when I say that they are on their way to becoming a staple in the northwest. With classics like cheeseburgers that are juicy and mouthwatering good. They also have battered fries that are unlike anything else you'll find around town, being super crunchy and fluffy in the middle, they are an experience.
