Panda Express — Restaurant in Springfield

Visited this location 3/30/25 8:27pm. Store closes at 9:00pm. Dark skinned Asian girl serving the food said, our food options are limited because we close at 9pm. Okay, no biggie I get it. My wife and I got our panda bowls and sat down at 8:35pm. My wife and I finished our bowls and we were opening our fortune cookies at 8:52pm, about to leave the store after that when the same dark skinned Asian girl came up to our table. And I already knew what she was going to say so I just said “ok” then kept eating. She continued to talk and told me and my wife that they close at 9pm and we need to leave or she’s kicking us out. Literally threatening to kick a paying customer out 8 mins before close when You already told us as we were getting our food that you close at 9pm She could clearly see that we were already finished with our bowls and it was obvious we were about to leave.

She could’ve worded it wayyy better than saying “I’m gonna have to kick you guys out”.

Give this location 1 star for...

Today before going to work at 2:20pm I stopped at Panda Express on Wabash here in Springfield IL, it took one half hour to get 6 cars in front of me thru the line...7 cars total including my car.. After ordering they had no walnut shrimp persuading me to buy something else bcuz the shrimp would take 7 minutes to cook, I said I will wait, she said "7 minutes mark my words" I waited 15 minutes!! Made me almost late to work... After I got to work my 2 eggrolls were burnt, dried up & tough chewing, they were not fresh at all!! AND...my walnut shrimp had NO WALNUTS, not even one walnut.. Then I tried calling both Panda Express's the phone messge at both restaurants said, " not answering the phone right now & it hangs up on you" What kind of service is this?? Now I have to go all the way back tomorrow to complain... Why cant people do their jobs correctly, they are getting paid to work correctly!!! Upset customer!!! I want to push "0 stars"...

I normally don’t write a review but felt I had to this time. I just visited a Panda Express this evening. Bought two plates to take home. First they didn’t have one of the items for one of the plates so I got a double order of Broccoli and Beef. Got home, opened up the container to find multiple pieces of broccoli and 5 tiny pieces of beef(and that is being generous). I would have been ok with with eating mostly broccoli but the broccoli looked like it had been setting around all day.😞 The other order had teriyaki chicken and no teriyaki sauce. I called the store and spoke to an employee who apologized and explained that it is called broccoli and beef because it is mostly broccoli. I replied that even that would have been ok if the broccoli was edible. She offered me a free plate of double broccoli and beef. Now why would I want that? I don’t plan on ever going to a Panda...
