My husband and I eat here quite often, he likes the big breakfast. I do like the breakfast horseshoe, but the waffle I had this time was extremely disappointing. It wasn't very big, tall wise, and was mushy like a pancake rather than crispy on the outside like a waffle should be, literally a frozen eggo waffle in a toaster was better than the waffle I had that day. It may have not been cooked correctly so I'm not sure if it was just that waffle that day, but it was honestly horrible. Our server was sweet and attentive. I think it's a little ridiculous that there were 2 server standing at the counter one rolling silverware the other talking to her and one of them looked at us and said Emily (I believe was her name) will be right w you. I'm sorry but if a server can't look at the seating chart, which there was no reason to since there were only a few tables open, and seat for a hostess that I actually seen filling coffee at tables is ridiculous and laziness. Everyone should work as a team since we stood there more than 5...
Read moreManager Alex was extremely rude and his way of settling things that go wrong seems to be intimidation. When talking to me he was hitting his fist into his other hand while raising his voice which made everyone very uncomfortable. Watched the other manager "Larry" fire a young girl right out in the open over charging a guy for Cole slaw. The whole trip was very uncomfortable and honestly left feeling embarrassed for the management, and feeling very bad for the employees that had to work under them. The food is all stuff you would cook in your own kitchen, which makes it seem like the selling point of the whole place is the atmosphere, which was outright hostile to say in the least. NEVER going back here, and neither should you. Unless you enjoy paying for the whole carton of eggs to grab two of them while watching the management openly berate their employees with a severe...
Read moreI was promptly greeted at the door and immediately seated. My sweet tea was brewed perfectly and chilled over ice. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger and was completely satisfied. The burger was topped with fresh lettuce, a tomato slice, fresh onion and pickles. The Patty was not over cooked and was very juicy. The French fries that they serve were golden and crispy, not soggy and not rock hard.
Everyone of the staff was friendly and said hello. I did not hear and bickering, complaining or anything negative as had been my experience with other diners.
The restaurant looked to be clean and I frequently saw servers cleaning, removing plates, refilling drinks and chatting with customers.
This was my first time here and will definitely not be my last. I am sorry for not...
