The space is well appointed and has nice views. Huge floor to ceiling picture windows line the exterior and allow for said groovy views. The staff was amazing. Jenny and Claire are very skilled mixologists, but in a solid traditional fashion. They are friendly and engaging but do not forget the fact you came for libations, so they keep the drinks pure and not pretentious and contrived with this herb or that sleight of hand. Their custom drink recipes delighted myself and other patrons, one gentleman when cajoled into trying his wife's chocolate martini called it tremendous and complimented the lack or over sweet flavor. Claire is witty and skilled in her craft, each beverage I asked for she elevated and took the time to discuss specific options to dial my drinks in. Both ladies handled the large and somewhat obnoxious wedding crowd that appeared and began barking demands with grace and aplomb. Read moreWent one of its first weeks, so we expected slower service and a little chaos. The staff was nice, but our food took an hour to get to us, and when it did, it tasted as if it had been sitting out, our street soft taco shells were too chewy to eat and the burger was dry, and this is after we changed our order because the serve told us the burger we originally ordered was dry. A couple weeks later, we find a charge from the Skybar for our meal. I have called and emailed several times and have been told I would get a call back or that the charge would be reversed, but I haven't heard back nor seen a charge reversal. I wasn't expecting a comped meal, but when the staff makes a big deal about comping it for you and then there ends up being a charge with no follow up to my calls, it leaves...
Read moreBEWARE!!! We went here for a House of Pleasure event. This review is specifically for the bar- take a picture of your receipt because they fraudulently charged us for our total. It cost us $35 for two gin and tonics OMFG. What a joke. The drinks were weak too.
The bartender took it upon themselves to add a tip to our bill after we explicitly declined to tip on the terrible service and grossly overpriced drinks. Even marking out the lines for the tip and writing the total.
This is exceptionally unprofessional and illegal. We tried to call and discuss this with management many times and received no response in return.
Will never patron this establishment again. And will tell our friend, who DJd the event...
