This is our 4th time ordering take out from Red Door and again I am impressed with this place. I had the General Tso's chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. Big fan of this dish and it's big enough for 2 people. We ordered at peak dinner time so it took about an hour to be delivered. The driver was courteous and the food was hot like it was just made. They do a good job of packaging their food. The chicken had a nice crispy breading and was served in sweet and spicy sauce. I will say all of the sauces seem to be more on the sweet side and it tends to make the chicken soggy after a while. Next time I would get it on the side. Fried rice was tasty and not to salty. They have really good egg rolls as well. We will order from again.

The atmosphere is actually decent. I’m not sure about the restroom cause I didn’t go in. The lady who took my order wasn’t necessarily rude, but wasn’t really welcoming at all! When she handed me my change she didn’t throw it at me but kind of placed it on my hand as if she didn’t want to touch my hands. I’m really bummed out cause I really wanted to like the place but save your money and go elsewhere. The fried rice reminds me of mall rice, and the sweet n sour chicken had this horrible weird aftertaste that as soon as I chewed it I spit it back out. I didn’t even try the crab ragoon or the rice I was too afraid, and it’s a bummer cause it smelled so bomb.

I was a little shocked by how empty the place was when I arrived. Only two tables were in use, four police officers at on table and an older couple at another, but with the police eating there and the reviews I read about Red Door, I decided to go ahead and try it. So glad I did. I ordered the steamed potstickers, an egg roll, and the Dragon & Phoenix entree. Everything was hot and fresh, the staff was fantastic, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Like i said before, the dining area was empty but the delivery driver was constantly leaving with several orders at a time, only to return for several more. I would eat here again in a heartbeat!

Good food, extremely high prices and horrible customer service. I have frequented this restaurant for 2 years since moving downtown and the prices have gone up which I didn't mind at all given the pandemic, but the unwillingness to give appropriate sauces on large orders and the lying and refusal to give more has gotten to a point of disrespect after today 12-27-21. I spent $50 on multiple items, and I asked over the phone and in person when picking up my order for extra soy sauce and hot mustard (specifically 10-15 of each) and I offered to PAY them for the sauce packets and I was basically rushed away and guaranteed they were in there. I get home and there are 4 soy sauce, 3 hot mustards. I called to kindly inquire about why they weren't included and if I could just come back and get more and the person on the phone argued with me that they had included 7+ of each sauce and changed their answer each time I denied the number. They refused to hear me out and I had to hang up and start writing this before I just move on with my life, because the food is good but not nearly good enough to deal with their run around. There's places with far better service and equally good food.

Was driving into downtown St Louis from an hour away and had my daughter phone in an order for pickup since they were closing soon and we needed food to take back to our hotel after starving all day. The lady on the phone was very nice and took the order then repeated the order back to my daughter. I heard the order being placed and heard her repeat the order. Picked up the order 30 minutes before they closed, got back to the hotel, parked and went up to our room. Upon getting the food out, found out they completely skipped my daughters food. Called the restaurant 15 minutes before closing time and was hoping they would deliver her food since it was their mistake. Lady refused to deliver it, kept saying she didn't charge me for it. I explained I'd happily pay for it, but my daughter needed food. She refused to make it, deliver it, or anything at all. Just kept arguing that she didn't charge me for it. Will never even consider this place again. Rangoons were like rubber with no flavor and the Chili Oil Beef was like processed beef with no flavor. I expected better, but I'll go back home and get decent Chinese food...

While staying at the drury inn at union station this place was on the list of locals that delivered to the hotel. I liked the person on the phone spoke and understood English well. I always fear ordering from Chinese restaurants over the phone as sometimes the order gets messed up due to a language barrier.

I was told up front 1 hour for delivery which was fine. Driver showed up early and called before he arrived to let me know he was close to the hotel. Service and food was excellent. Fried rice is some of the best I've ever had. Sesame chicken was awesome as well. Portions were standard for this type of cuisine.

My main reason for not giving a full five stars is price. For two entrees and a side of rice, I feel $40 was too much. Maybe I'm crazy but $30 would have been more acceptable. Could be due to the location and being in St Louis.

Overall I would...
