We were recommended this place by our hotel clerk as we was staying in St. Louis. Without hesistation, he gave us Syberg's as an answer for a nearby sports bar in the city. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with the atmosphere of where locals come to watch the game if they couldn't make it into the stadiums down the street. St. Louis sports memoribilia, neon bar signs and wide screen TVs adorn the walls, making sports and beer the primary focuses of the bar. That's not to say it isn't worth going for the food: We tried their in-house Whiskey sauced wings, that had a good crispy outer skin and a tangy, finger licking aftertaste. I enjoyed the Open-faced French Dip (without provolone, not too much of a cheese guy) on a toasted garlic roll. The au jus dip was savory, and I wish I soaked my sandwich in it more than I had. Overall, I would recommend this place to local and traveller alike, and try to visit on a game day! We had stopped in during their trivia night, which still seemed like a fun time. We ended up kind of playing along as we ate. Actual Rating: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5

Syberg's on Market is located 7 blocks from the Enterprise Center where the St Louis Blues play. They offer free parking so if you're in the mood for a quick bite to eat before going to the game. The night I visited with my friends there was a game and the place was packed. Despite this we were able to find 4 seats at the bar and although the service was not as fast as I would have liked the food was decent for the price. You need to try their wings. Syberg's sauce is overrated and their bbq sauce was average. We ordered chicken strip appetizer (small strips, not worth the $13.99), and the bacon cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was alright. Typical bar food. When the bartender finally brought our check the pen didn't work. I actually had to use my own pen to write the tip on the check. WARNING if you eat here bring your own pen or risk being late to the game sitting there waiting for your server to come back and find you a new one. Overall I was satisfied for the experience. This location is located in the parking lot of the Pear Tree Suites which is a Drury brand hotel

This place was alright. It's a dive bar/sports pub. The food is nothing spectacular honestly. They have daily food specials. We got the 16" thin crust pizza. St Louis style pizza is just not good pizza to me. The crust is consistent to crackers and the cheese is too gooey and milky. The sauce tastes like it's straight out of a jar of spaghetti sauce. The wings from here are also just okay. The wings themselves are good; fresh, hot, and juicy. However, I tried their famous Syberg sauce and I was not really a fan to be honest. It tastes and smells like mustard and buffalo sauce mixed together. It's a little too sweet with a slight tangy kick. It just wasn't my style, but others may like it. I recommend trying it though. Service was great. Parking is available in a lot outside. They have a decent drink menu, including beer and liquor. Outdoor seating is available.

My friends and I were hungry after a game and decided to go to the restaurant in the hotel we were staying at because we were tired and didn’t want to travel far. We got to the restaurant and we believe the manager came up to us, some middle-aged lady. We asked if we could see a menu and we asked her if there was a coating on the fries because two people in our party couldn’t have wheat. She didn’t understand the question and said, “I’ve been in the food industry for 20 years and I’ve never heard of coated fries”. Obviously, she’s never eaten anywhere that has beer battered fries. Then when she was about to walk away to find a clean table and we grabbed her attention, and she said “Damn, your really demanding today aren’t you?” We were so baffled by her rude attitude. We asked her if it was possible to sit in a booth and she said “Well I want you to have exceptional service and I know that sitting over in this section (by the bar section serviced by a white old lady) will have better service than by the windows (serviced by a young black lady). We accepted to sit in the bar section and our server stood at the service table pointing to our table saying, “sit over there, the one in the middle” instead of walking us to our table. There was about 5 open tables and we just picked one. We sat down at around 9:00pm.

Around 9:10pm we got our drink orders in and got 4 waters and 2 drinks. At 9:20pm we finally got our waters and the old lady said she was going to be right back with our drinks. At around 9:30pm we thought about leaving because the service was taking forever, and she still had not taken our food orders. We could see our server talking to other people and standing in the kitchen. When she finally came to take our order, from the time she took it to the time we received it was about 10-15 minutes. The food was decent, it’s what you’d expect for bar food, drinks were watered down and was surprisingly decent priced. We finished our food around 9:50pm and was waiting for her to come back so we could ask for boxes. She came at 10:00pm and we got our boxes and we asked for the checks. I made a joke with my friend that at this rate we wouldn’t get out of here until 10:30pm.

The waiters came back with our checks time stamped at 10:09pm and we waited for her to come back to take our money. So we waited… and waited… and waited. We assumed at 10:25pm that we had to pay at the service desk because we assumed our server had died or something. No one was there so we walked to the bartender to ask if we could pay for our meal. I tipped the bartender for giving great fast service and not our nonexistent server.

What should had been a 30-45 minute meal turned into a 90 minute hide-and-seek game with our server. I can only imagine what the not “exceptional...

On Saturday, June 22, we were in St. Louis attending a Cardinal baseball game and staying at the Pear Tree Inn on Market Street. After the game and swimming at the hotel pool, we decided to eat at Syberg's adjoining the hotel so as not to have to get out and drive to another restaurant. We had eaten there on a previous date and enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. When we walked in, we were told to sit anywhere because it was an open seating. We chose a table by the side windows. The restaurant was fairly busy, but there seemed to be enough staff to handle it and other tables were not having any problems getting a menu, drinks or food ordered. We waited and waited and no one approached us to give us menus or drink order. Other people were walking in, being seated and getting waited on immediately. Finally after approx. 20 minutes I stopped a bus boy that was going by and asked if we could get some service. He immediately went up to the front and told the young man waiter that was there. I am not sure what was said, but the bus boy ended up bringing us menus. After waiting another unusually long time he (the busboy) stopped and asked if he could take our order. While we were about to tell him, a young lady appeared and said she would take them. She tried to say something about a shift change, but I noticed the same waiters and waitresses there at that time were the same as when we came into the restaurant to start with. We gave our order, a chicken salad and a burger and fries. Again we waited and waited. Again, other people that had come in after us was getting their food. After another long wait in which we were just about ready to get up and leave, the food arrived. My son had already drank all his water and had set the glass at the end of the table to indicate he wanted more.... It was ignored. The burger was charred on the outside almost to the point that I couldn't eat it. Finally after we had finished about 1/2 of our meal, my son's water glass got refilled. I was shocked and very disappointed at the service and food, especially since our first experience there was so enjoyable. I doubt I will be eating...

I want to start this review off with a question. How do the staff, people in the service industry (hostess, servers and etc) pick and choose their own set of rules to apply to a person/group of people and not others? If the dining area is closed for us who just walked into the door, then it should apply to those that walk in after us (that wasn't the case). The energy wasn't inviting at all upon entering the restaurant. Can't ask questions because they make you feel like you're inconveniencing them for an answer. Why be in a SERVICE INDUSTRY WHERE YOU ARE SERVING OTHERS IF YOUR ATTITUDE IS GOING TO BE SO UNPROFESSIONAL. KARMA WILL SERVE YOU THE SAME SOUR ATTITUDE THAT YOU PROJECT ONTO OTHERS YOU'VE NEVER MET AND DON'T KNOW!!! I sat and observed the staff and this review is very disappointing. Chose this restaurant to eat at. Saved my appetite all day to eat here, only for my food to be served to another table. They were already moving slow which was understood. Even seen the other waitress serve a table that came in after us, and delegated another server to our table in the same area. Like she didn't want to be bothered and was using a class system of her choice. Like, what was that all about?. That was our first and last time going there. I saw the waitress bring the food back into the kitchen and ended up sitting it right back on the serving counter instead of trashing it. The waitress then came back out to let me know that they no longer had the item. All the servers was congregating for some odd reason I assume over whatever her and I discussed. While waiting for her to come back, which didn't happen, I walked to the kitchen door to let her know that we didn't want our order. She yelled so loud for everyone to hear that we cancelled the order. Was that suppose to embarrass us? She was probably the worst server I've ever had. Never had a server ever take our food to the wrong table and not bring us our silverware. Someone else observed that we didn't have silverware and brought it without us asking for it. Thank you to...
