Chinese Gourmet Express — Restaurant in St. Matthews

I’m genuinely shocked by the low ratings for Chinese Gourmet Express, particularly at the Greentree Mall location. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, frequenting both this spot and their location at the Mall of St. Matthews. In my experience, this restaurant never misses.

The food is consistently delicious, no matter what I order. It’s a favorite for my kids, too—they ask for it every time we visit the mall. The portions are generous, contrary to some of the complaints I’ve seen. For around $10, you get a meal that fills you up, which is a great value, especially compared to other mall food options.

The cleanliness of the restaurant has always impressed me as well. I’ve never walked in and found it dirty, which is a major plus for a fast-paced mall food court establishment. The staff are polite and efficient, making the dining experience even better.

The only downside I’ve ever encountered is the price of their drinks. If you opt for a bottled beverage, it’s not a full 20-ounce size, and the cost is on the higher side. However, that’s a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the food and service.

Went to get takeout and my card was run 3 times. They said it wasn't going through and it would go back onto my card tomorrow. I called my bank to verify and they said there was no refund pending and it would 100% post to my account unless they disputed the charges. These people are liars and untrustworthy. I am out 60 dollars now between 3 charges until my dispute is finalized because they screwed something up on their end and then tried to gaslight me into thinking it would just disappear from my account. Bin there coustomer for years, today I want and bought three meals I asked for hot sauce the lady at the cash register handed me one, I origenally asked her for four of them she simply said no, I did insist, then she gave another two.
