Casey's Tavern — Restaurant in Stamford

So, I've heard of Casey's before as a decent place to get a drink. Service is supposed to be good and the atmosphere relaxing...and there's always been a buzz about their food. So we went and tried it Saturday night. I was blown away. Now, when you walk in you're not going to confuse this place for a high brow drinking establishment, no way -- but that's exactly what also adds to the experience. Plenty of good brew on tap, great, attentive bar service and the burgers...well, wow, just wow. The burgers are absolutely fantastic. Thick, juicy and super tasty. Fresh bun, all the fixins you want and the bacon, let me tell you. The bacon isn't wimpy little strips of crusty pig belly. Nope, this is the real deal holyfield Irish bacon. This is a great place to go for karaoke on Sundays, or even for a drink during the week. Sometimes it's a bit overcrowded and they close the patio earlier than you'd like in the season, but in general whenever my friends and I want a chill, no frills local spot, this is where we go. Service is great, the bartenders are always quick and nice, and drink prices are low compared to other Stamford bars. Definitely a good place to check out of you want to play pool or darts, too. Casey's is the first place I walked into in Stamford after I moved to the East Coast from California. Immediately fell in love with the place and the staff. They have a decent pool table, stiff drinks and a very nice quieter patio if you want a quieter evening.
