I just stopped at this McDonald's and ordered my usual Large hot mocha and a couple other items. I paid and then I went to the window to pick up my food and he handed a medium coffee out of the window. I said " uh sorry, what is this"? He said it's your medium mocha and I said "oh I didn't order a medium, I ordered a large". He proceeded to to tell me what I ordered and argue with me that I said medium. I told that boy "I have never in my life ordered a medium drink so I know I didn't say medium". đ I was being nice and I laughed but he continued to argue with me. He was totally rude and dismissed me by saying have a good day. I said well I actually want the large. Well you're going to have to pay for it. I said "I know that's fine" (Pleasantly) and he said you have to go back into the drive-thru and was very annoyed with me. Mind you, I was being very nice the whole time. Oh okay it's your fault but I have to go back around! What a joke. I decided I didn't want to see his face again and I left! I will not be going to this McDonald's anymore. I will go to the one downtown Gettysburg if at all. Oh, and the fries were very cold which normally would be a little annoying but I would never say anything but now I'm very annoyed. There were no other customers there when I got there and only one behind me...
Read moreHi! Iâm a student at Gettysburg College and therefore order from this McDonaldâs pretty often. They end up getting SOMETHING wrong every time I order, and usually I let it slide but today was just unacceptable! Not only did they forget to put a tomato in my sandwich - which I must point out I did not say âno tomatoâ on the order - but they also ended up not giving me the right pie that I ordered, and in addition to that, I ordered a large Shamrock shake, no only was it not filled up, but I asked for extra whipped cream, but ended up getting barely any. Not to many ion, I didnât get any ketchup for my fries. If I didnât order through DoorDash I would most definitely go back and have them redo my order, but unfortunately I couldnât do that and basically ended up wasting my money on a highly unsatisfactory meal. Not to mention, from previous experience there, if youâre looking for a late night snack or something, although it says theyâre open 24 hours, theyâre really not. Not to mention the workers are pretty rude, theyâll see you in the drive thru and instead of at least saying âhey weâre closed sorry, hereâs our hoursâ theyâll just stare at you. Not to mention they didnât let me put in an order 30 minutes before their closing time. So point of the story,...
Read moreNot actually open 24 hours. Yea they're "open" in the sense that there's people inside hanging out but I've come through at least 5 different times over the last few months anywhere from 2 to 4 am and every single time they give an excuse for not taking orders. Our "system" is down, there's only 2 of us here (I only wanted a coke and a fry, didn't realize you need a full crew for that), we're getting ready to transition to breakfast (it was 3:30am, weird that they don't stop serving anything at 8:30am to "get ready for lunch"), or the best was just straight "we're not taking orders sorry".
This place has slowly become soooo much worse ever since the new owners took over. The worst part is I'm pretty sure they own all the mcdonalds in Gettysburg, Littlesown, Cross Keys, and Hanover. I've heard from a couple of workers from different locations across the area that the new owners are a joke and super greedy. This makes sense since things are always broke and don't get fixed in any meaningful time frame. Like when the Eisenhower Hanover card machine was broken for like a week. Absolute joke...
