Quaint little corner bakery. They bring a light and airy ambiance to your dining experience, with adequate seating options, including the solo diner, as well as outdoor seating.
The menu options aren't overwhelming, including simple dishes, like biscuits and gravy, which I had today, with hot Chai tea.
The staff are quick, cheery, and helpful. It was barely a couple of minutes before my order was brought to the table.
The food, however, may have some room or improvements. While the biscuits were buttery and flaky, they were slightly overcooked but not inedible.
The gravy was a traditional sausage gravy. At first sight, it looks perfect. Upon closer inspection, it appears to perhaps be reheated or not cooked long enough. The traditional creamy texture of gravy is reduced to a slightly thicker than normal gravy with flower freckles scattered throughout. The flavor was nearly on point, though as a whole dish.
The hot Chai tea is spectacular! A perfectly blended Chai and steamed cream served at precisely the right temperature! I'm just barely able to sip.
Overall, I've had better, but I've certainly had worse and will...
Read moreGreat breakfast and even better cup of coffee after a long night in the truck stop - the staff was charming and attentive. The coffee was great and outstanding! The breakfast menu felt like a bit of an afterthought, but the eggs were cooked well, they crisped the bacon for me, and the potatoes weren't mush. I couldn't try any (gluten), but the quiche and Lorraine looked heavenly.
No gluten free or sugar free options. With a celiac sufferer on staff I thought they'd maybe have some GF bread in the freezer to toast with breakfast. I understand it costs so much, though, and most of us know not to even walk into bakeries because it's not cost effective for them to cater to celiacs. Oh well. Great breakfast, and will...
Read moreIt was my first time stopping in, all I wanted was to grab a cupcake after a long drive for a treat. I walked in, everyone looked at me, no one greeted me. The women up front was on the phone busy, I get it, I was fine waiting, after she hung up, she ran to the back and chatted with co workers. Customers shoved past me and where helped with their goodies, others came in and were greeted with a smile while I was ignored, not a smile, not a “hello”. A young man finally helped me, he gave me my total and then walked away, I stood there after paying waiting to confirm that I was good to go, nothing. Incredibly bad service, rude selective staff. I’m sorry I stopped in and...
