Great service and nice people working here. However the pizza and wings are mid.
Pizza: it tastes like they use fresh ingredients and the right amount of temperature and time with the ingredients in the oven, BUT they don't season their food!!! The pizza was bland even though the texture and freshness were on point. It was like eating the part of rotisserie chicken that didn't get any seasoning.
I found myself using hot sauce and seasoning at home to try and boost the savor and flavor of the food. It was to no avail as you'd have to add the right seasoning combination into maybe a butter or garlic sauce and then re-cook the sauce into the pizza in the oven to meld the flavor in before eating the pizza. At this point why buy the pizza? It should already be seasoned. The meat should be seasoned, there shouldn't be underseasoned or unseasoned meat on the pizza. A seasoned garlic or butter sauce brushed on the pizza or crust would also help.
Wings: the wings had no crisp to the outside. There was so much sauce (I got the zing/tangy wings) that the outer fat on the wings was mushy and soft. They should set expectations if they mean to make mushy wings. Otherwise, they need to do like good wing places and cook until there's a nice crispy outside. The dumping of extra sauce can be in a cup or something included with the crispy wings. Also, the sauce needed salt and seasoning which is not a good sign as I was told this was the best flavor by the staff. I had to cool these myself to get them a little crispy on the air fryer. But again, for the cost, they should already be cooked and seasoned well.
Overall: the pizza looked good and ingredients tasted fresh, but the actual taste was off. If you've never (or rarely) had salt, Mexican food, Carribean food, Indian food, or anything else tasty and flavorful, you'll likely enjoy this place. The pizza looks nice, smells nice, and the people are nice. The wings don't look so good, but they smell quite good. For anyone blessed to eat plenty of delicious good in their lives, Domino's Pizza is far superior to this in taste....
Read moreOkay so I wanted to go somewhere different instead of our normal pizza place. Saw Five Star Pizza reviews and noticed they had outstanding reviews. Pulling up to Five Star Pizza. I'm sitting in my car right in front of they window thinking about what I want to order. Now if you've been there you'll know they make their pizzas right in front of that window near the front door. So I already noticed the two employees male and female inside. The male employee was tossing a pizza dough with his bare hands as well as using his bare fore arms🤮🤢. I looked at my husband like 'Did you just see that'? Sure enough we saw him at the same time. At that moment I knew I wasn't ordering anything but I just sat there in disbelief. So the female employee came right beside him whom was dealing with a customer moments prior and stuck her bare hands inside what look like some big black container with cheese. I didn't see her wash her hands. Then she stuck her hands inside of a jar that looked like garlic she proceeded to squeeze the garlic in her bare hands on top of the pizza. Then sprinkled the minced garlic all over the pizza. 🤢🤮Now it don't take a rocket scientist to know that you suppose to wash your hands and wear gloves while handling other people's food especially. Given everything that's going on right now in the world and I have children I was not about to eat here. I'm glad I sat there and observed that before going inside. This didn't sit right with me Five Star Pizza y'all should do better....
Read moreI've been coming here since their .99 cent delivery. When they first opened this was my favorite place. I would rave about this place and referred MANY people to this establishment as it's better than your normal pizza chains .Recently ordering food I've noticed the service and quality has been decreasing. My final straw was last night ordering wings and getting Food poisoning from the wings. I woke up at 5am and was in the bathroom nonstop throwing up.
This was the first time I've gotten sick from them, normally I have to bake the wings at home because I always ask for them to make them extra extra crispy but they told me they're not allowed to do that and it always look undercooked. I called today to tell a manager about getting sick from the wings and all i got was an apology and thay there's nothing they could do. I paid $25 to get sick and now they've lost a loyal customer. Now I need a new pizza place to give my money to. In response to the owner:
I called at 11:15 this morning and spoke to a man who said he was a manager. I have no reason to lie.. I've also had multiple employees who told me per management and the owner thay they are not allow to make the wings extra crispy. I should've taken a picture of my wings since I'm now lying about even calling the store this morning...
