Mayuri Indian Restaurant: a name that evokes a symphony of flavors, textures, and aromas that transport you straight to the heart of India. This dining destination is more than just a restaurant; it is an immersive experience into the intricate, vibrant, and diverse world of Indian cuisine.
From the moment you walk through Mayuri's doors, you are greeted with the warm, enticing aroma of Indian spices - a sensory preview of the culinary journey that lies ahead. The ambience is tastefully decorated, with subtle nods to Indian culture, creating a welcoming and authentic atmosphere.
The menu at Mayuri is a celebration of India's regional cuisines, each dish masterfully crafted with a depth of flavor that speaks volumes of the culinary prowess of the chefs. The dishes are a beautiful marriage of traditional Indian recipes with a touch of modern culinary techniques, resulting in a menu that is both familiar and innovative.
The Tandoori Chicken, for instance, is a standout. Marinated in a mixture of yogurt and spices, then expertly cooked in a traditional tandoor oven, the chicken is perfectly charred on the outside while remaining succulent and tender on the inside. The smoky flavor from the tandoor infuses the meat, enhancing the complex spice blend in the marinade.
The Lamb Biryani is another must-try. This aromatic rice dish is a harmonious blend of fragrant Basmati rice, tender lamb pieces, and a symphony of spices. Each grain of rice is perfectly cooked, absorbing the flavors of the meat and spices, resulting in a dish that is both comforting and indulgent.
The star of the show, however, is their Butter Chicken. The chicken pieces are tender and bathed in a velvety tomato-based sauce that is rich, creamy, and subtly spiced. The sauce's robust flavors are beautifully balanced, with the tanginess of the tomatoes, the sweetness of the onions, and the warmth of the Indian spices creating a dance of flavors on your palate. Paired with their fluffy naan bread, it's a combination that is nothing short of heavenly.
The culinary experience at Mayuri extends beyond their main dishes. Their array of Indian desserts, like the Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai, are the perfect endnote to a flavorful meal. The Gulab Jamun, with its sweet, syrup-soaked dough balls, and the Rasmalai, with its soft cheese dumplings in creamy milk, provide a sweet and decadent conclusion to your dining experience.
Each dish at Mayuri Indian Restaurant is a testament to the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine. The attention to detail, the delicate balance of flavors, and the authenticity of the dishes make dining at Mayuri an experience that is as close to a culinary journey across India as you can get without leaving town. So, whether you are a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or a curious first-timer, Mayuri promises a dining experience that is both enlightening and...
Read more06/09/2023 New favourites! I ordered chicken sukha, chicken 65, chilli paneer and gobi Manchuria. Chicken sukha $15.99 was the best and chilli paneer $14.99 was the worst. Chicken 65 $14.99 is very mild and gobi Manchuria $12.99 tastes ok, portions size reduced for the starters.
03/31/2023 I ordered a few starters (chicken 65, chilli paneer, and cut mirchi) for take out and had a great experience. Quality, quantity, taste, accuracy and time everything was good. I’ll come again!
05/20/2022 First positive experience! I ordered chicken 65 and it tastes delicious, quantity is good and looks great. Server was attentive, order ready in time. I request the management to keep your services and food consistent. I will try again and let you all know. I am rating only 3 because all my previous visits are disappointed.
05/12/2022 I tried this place after 6 months and ordered chicken 65 and chilli fish. Chicken 65 was over fried and fish tastes ok not great. Also ordered carrot halwa, strange thing is I got fried onion which smells with biryani masala in it. Maybe they save it from buffet and sell it in the evening. I can give 2 star to this place.
Previous Visits Experiences Not Authentic, and Poor Service. I ordered food from this restaurant 3 times in a month to try if there is any improvement in the taste and service. I am disappointed with taste, quality and service from the restaurant. I tried chicken 65, chilli chicken, tandoor chicken, chicken chettinadu curry, Andhra chicken curry, goat biryani, goat curry, chapathi and gulab jamoon. Chilli chicken was extremely spicy and you can’t eat two spoons also the chicken was not soft. I believe they are using frozen meat, both chicken curries are taste the same and very blunt, they used boneless meat for curry and not mention in the menu. I felt like adding boneless chicken in rasam. Goat biryani is like Coloured rice, I don’t understand why your restaurant uses so much artificial Colors. Gulab jamoon and goat curry was ok but not great. When your food is delayed they don’t inform, and don’t even know how long we have to wait. Another mention is bite squad orders all the menu items are overpriced tandoor papad is $12.99 online and at the restaurant $2.99. Bite squad said the restaurant controls the prices and restaurant said bite squad...
Read moreThe last time I ate here before I moved out of Florida was last May. When I called the restaurant on the phone to see how much the buffet costs, because they keep increasing their prices exorbitantly and the cost at the restaurant somehow is different from the cost on the phone, they told me 13.99. Then I got there and the price was suddenly increased to $16 per person. When I reminded them of what I was told on the phone, they said that the person on the phone was wrong. Then I decided to eat there and when my bill came, the price had increased to $19 per person! I again reminded them of what they said, and they said that that was also a mistake and it was actually $20 a person, but because there were so many 'mistakes' made, they gave me a $2 per person discount.
I went in expecting to pay around $40 and left paying closer to $60 with their 'discount', otherwise I would have had to pay closer to $70! Needless to say I refused to tip and the waiter got angry at me for that. I told them that the 4 dollar increase per person from when I called to when I paid was the tip. I know for a fact that the people next to me with the same amount of people as my party (3) only paid $40 for their entire meal. Not sure if they bothered to tip, but I saw them handing the waiter 2 $20s and leaving.
On top of that, this place is entirely self service. They don't even pour your drinks for you! They don't even bother collecting your dirty plates - I had to start loading my plates onto the booth behind us because they simply did not bother to get the plates from our table. The food is all very mediocre and they don't fill things back up, I had to request several times for naan and dosas to get filled back up.
Definitely avoid this place, I don't know what game they're playing with the prices on the buffet but frankly the experience and taste of the food you get here is not worth not knowing how much your bill will come out to at the end, despite asking numerous times how much you are going to...
