Captain Charlie took our crew out for a glorious day of fishing on Tampa Bay. We had a most excellent time. Charlie is an absolute professional and knows all the spots. He made us feel super welcome and comfortable on his well equipped boat. Charlie helped us all day long with baiting our lines and getting fish off of hooks, but never stepped in to take over. He let us fight each of those fish (and even a shark!) fair and square. We came home with a pretty decent haul of fish (lots of red and mangrove snapper) all of which Charlie filleted expertly for us. We saw so many dolphins , had tons of laughs, and made some pretty awesome memories in the sun with our friends. We could't have asked for a more fun and beautiful day, and we certainly couldn't have asked for a better guide. I will recommend Captain Charlie over and over again....

Grew up in South Tampa on the water and have been fishing Tampa Bay all my life. Having recently moved to Dana Shores, I wanted to learn spots & techniques fishing Old Tampa Bay. Met & talked with Charlie at one of his fishing lectures at the boat show last year and was very impressed. Went this morning on a half day trip to multiple spots in the Upper Bay. If they weren't biting at a certain location, Charlie was quick to move to another. We caught about 35 big snook at various locations (& lost probably the 2 biggest fish in the mangroves). Charlie was great! I had never been fishing before, but he did a great job of explaining what to do and being patient as he offered instruction. He was very friendly, and communicated accurately and promptly leading up to our trip. Despite our time being up, he took us to additional locations in order to find snook. Once we got back to the dock, he filleted and packed the mackerel we had caught, which we then grilled for a delicious dinner.

Before the trip he had said "I can't guarantee that you're going to catch a bunch of fish, but I can guarantee you'll have a great time." Couldn't have been...
