Visited at 845 on May 24th, place was pretty dead (assuming bc it was a Tuesday), so it had a weird vibe. Server was pleasant enough, just didn't really feel like a welcoming atmosphere I guess. Ordered the spanikopita and it was phenomenal. Perfect size for an app to share too. Fiance ordered a raspberry mojito which was simultaneously too sweet and too tart for me (though he enjoyed it). I ordered the Habitea (or something like that), the flavor was inoffensive as there was almost no flavor at all. But wasn't the worst thing I've ever been served. Entrees were quite large and both came with fries, cucumber salad of some sort (Sorry, it was two weeks ago), and a Greek salad. The Greek salad was very crisp and well portioned, the cucumber salad thing was a small amount, but very tasty. Chicken was a bit overcooked/dry, but had good flavor (imo a little stingy with the meat portion). The fries though are some of the best I've had in Tampa. Thin-ish, with the skin still on and crispy, they were just delicious. For dessert we ordered the baklava cheesecake, which I was a little wary of since I couldn't imagine how the phyllo wouldn't get soggy... and I was correct. A bit difficult to eat, but the flavor was excellent. Only other things of note - had to clean my own booth seat as it had some sort of soft greasy food item smeared in it and there was no one there to greet you. Host stand was outside, but abandoned. I saw one server and the bartender glance at us before going back to doing side work. Possibly will give it another try, but maybe on a busier night when the staff cares more. Overall: Service - 3 stars Food - 4 stars Drinks- 2 stars Atmosphere - 3 stars Recommended? Eh. I wouldn't deter you from going, but I wouldn't tell you to check it out. Solidly average.

Fun atmosphere and very clean inside AND outside. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable about menu choices. Unfortunately I can't remember our servers name but she was helpful and knew her stuff. I couldn't choose what drink we wanted so she offered me her favorites up to us explaining what is in each. We chose Mediterranean nights and dio mojito (dio mojito is better) we chose the popular appetizer option of octopus which is extremely tender includes onions and Cilantro on top and is so extremely flavorful it makes your taste buds burst! For our entre my husband ordered the grilled red snapper with cucumber salad(sides are already paired with entre) and it is legitimately a WHOLE ENTIRE SNAPPER it is HUGE. Not fishy tasting at all to us (but we love seafood) Deliciously seasoned and definitely recommended. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare (3 are included with asparagus and thick potatoes fries) I was super nervous about ordering them because it's a hit or miss for me and these lamb chops are a total hit! I would order this 100 times over. Absolutely perfect. The flavor is amazing on everything the presentation is beautiful and well thought out!! Our server was super friendly and checked on us just enough so that we never needed anything or went without but not so much where it was annoying or pestering. There's indoor and outdoor seating music and people everywhere (we sat outside) there's also the option to use hookahs while your there but we did not inquire about that. The prices are high but the portions are small to average sized. We are stuffed and I took home a whole lamb chop. For 2 adults 4 drinks 1 appetizer 2 entre is was 170 then add included gratuity (20 percent) tax plus your tip. Our total was about 250.

Honest review **there might be hidden fees(not letting you know until they charge you on your bill), 20% gratuity added, indoor & outdoor seating (quite a lot of seats), sit outside if you are interested in hookah, 2 hr limit on the tables The food is decent, but nothing amazing. Tried the calamari which my friend ordered and the hummus. Not a bad vibe on the streets or indoors. (Just me making sure my fellow future customers are aware) I ate prior to coming to this place so I wasn't hungry, but I ordered a regular hummus to snack on. But when I was ordering, I asked does it come with pita bread, our server Jessica said "yes it does" like I asked a "of course" question. I asked cause some places have you order it on the side which I don't mind. But to see my hummus come out to $10 when it was $9, I asked cause I was confused if she hit the wrong button? She said "Ohh it comes with one pita bread with the hummus but more is $1." I said okay that's fine, but why did you say it comes with pita bread then charge me another dollar in my head. Sketchy for not being up front. Also we were technically a party of 3 since one of our friends didn't end up coming, but 20% gratuity already on the bill? I was like whatever, but really is this right? My friend asked if they had ranch, of course no ranch, but offered aioli sauce, but charged for it on the bill. Sub for Truffle fries is extra $5 fyi. I have worked as a server before and I personally think being upfront is very important with customers. However, I guess this place is sneaky with adding charges to get more tip? She was nice, but be upfront with your customers is all I ask for. I won't be returning :)

If you have any kind of food allergy/dietary restriction, do NOT eat here. I ordered a Greek salad with salmon for takeout and expressed multiple times how I have a severe tree nut allergy. At no point was I ever told they could not accommodate my allergy. Upon being handed my food, I noticed the receipt said “salmon salad” which I knew was a completely different meal on their menu that has pine nuts in it. I handed it back to the bartender to let him know this isn’t what I ordered, it has nuts in it and verbatim said “this will kill me.” Within no more than 3 minutes he had gone back to the kitchen and brought me my “new” salad. I thought that was quick so I verified one last time that there was no nuts in it to which the bartender eased my concerns. I brought it back to my hotel and as I’m eating it my mouth became completely inflamed. I suspected the restaurant reused the salmon from the order they originally gave me with pine nuts and called them to confirm my suspicions. Sure enough, they let me know the salmon that had previously been sitting on a bed of pine nuts was placed on my “allergy friendly” meal that I had consumed. I had to leave for the hospital immediately because I am anaphylactic to nuts but the restaurant took down my info and said the manager would call me. A week and a $1,000+ hospital bill later, I had heard nothing from the manager. No call to make sure I was even alive, let alone a refund for my meal. I called and asked for the manager who I was told wasn’t in but left my number and was told I’d receive a call back. More time went by without me hearing anything so I repeated the same process another time to no avail. It has been two months with no contact from the restaurant. My advice to them: tell people who warn you that they have a deadly food allergy NOT to eat there. There is a level of risk associated with eating out that I am aware of but blatant ignorance in regards to food safety/cross contamination cannot be assumed and should be communicated with the consumer before they eat at your restaurant. I am now stuck with a $1,000+ medical bill on top of the $25+ food bill because of blatant stupidity - and the meal...

Im not one to write bad reviews but last night was kinda the worst experience I’ve have in a very long time and I felt like we were not treated properly. We went to dinner for my friends birthday that was acknowledged when we arrived. We were seated outside and ordered hookah, cocktails and appetizers. Party of 7.There was dead silence for a long period of time so we asked the server if they could turn music on for a better ambiance as every other time I’ve been here the music is playing and the vibes are great. She said she would ask her manager, she came back serval times with no answer about the music but a new excuse as to why he didn’t turn it on yet. (He’s kinda busy, he must have forgot, not sure if it’s working) literally everything. So we were sitting outside in total silence for hours. We then ordered dinner, my friends food came out cold ( the lamb chops, and chicken kabobs). We complained and they offered to take the food back and throw it back on the grill to reheat it. How unsanitary is that. I was in total shock they they even suggested that and they actually did it. My food took about 45 mins, everyone at the table had their food and was eating, food sent back and brought back out before I even got my food. We did get a “ sorry the food is taking so long” the manager also came out and apologized but that’s it. The server also hit us with the “ oh it’s my 1st day” but knew the full menu Then all of a sudden music started playing very loudly, it was the birthday celebration we ordered. We actually enjoyed that but that was it. Then shortly after we were told that parties of 7 (an odd number) they add auto gratuity which I thought it’s always been 8. Our bill came to over $700 with auto gratuity added. Looking at the check they tried charge my friend $18 for a non alcoholic drink ( juice) like seriously. They did take the non alcoholic drink off the bill after we acknowledged it. We weren’t offered a discount for any of the issues we had during the entire experience and they were not even busy. Im not happy at all. Very disappointed in the poor treatment. On a good note the...

Last night may have been the single worst customer service experience I have ever had. It was a friend of mine's birthday a couple days ago and due to it being at the beginning of the week, we decided to celebrate last night. We made our first stop, had our fun, and once done we proceeded to Dio. Said friend made reservations earlier in the week, Tuesday I believe, for our group of ten. We arrived, were promptly seated, and everything was fine. Then somebody who worked there came up and told us we had to move outside because somebody else had reservations and they specifically asked to be seated inside versus outside. We were all pretty miffed at this point because we were seated, already ordered drinks, were preparing to order appetizers, etc. The other party of ten that asked to be seated inside, allegedly, was nowhere to be seen. So, all ten of us head outside and see them setting up our "table". I use the word table in quotations because I can't think of a better word. It was a row of two-person tables in the middle of the sidewalk, segregated from the rest of the customers, and blocking the walkway for pedestrians. I wish I had taken pictures. There was a car parked on the curb and if the owners had returned to the vehicle, two or three of us at that table would have had to get out of our seats and move to allow them in. We basically said, "Screw this. We're out." This seating arrangement was unacceptable and by the time we left, the other group that allegedly had reservations and allegedly asked to be seated inside whereas we didn't when we made our reservations, still hadn't shown up. Several of us asked to speak to the manager. The person we were speaking to refused. From what I gather, they knew that they were in the wrong or they would get fired for pulling that stunt. Why turn down a ten-top THAT HAS RESERVATIONS? Not that it matters, but I'll never return to Dio. I'd rather just walk a block and down and grab a couple slices from Eddie and Sam's, which is what we ended up...
