Taste — Restaurant in Tamuning Municipality

As a local resident of Guam, I've been eating here a long time, for as long as I can remember. Never have I ever experienced such incompetence when trying to get back to eat here. For some context, my family and I made a reservation on the phone for an early Mother's Day lunch 2023 (literally almost 2 months in advanced). Keep in mind, the person who confirmed our reservation made sure to clarify that WE WERE SET FOR our early lunch. When the holiday weekend was almost here, we noticed that none of the staff had called us to confirm one more time. We took the initiative to call back and a different representative had told us that our reservation wasn't in their system (REMINDER: we booked almost 2 months in advanced). Eventually we got our situation sorted out and were booked. Then, when we arrived at the venue, they told us our reservation time was changed from 11:30 to 12:15. We eventually waited, and then afterwards the staff that day told us they still haven't had a table. They had prioritized the people who booked on their online options. I don't know what's going on with their staff or management recently but this was truly a terrible experience. I really don't see why they bother taking reservations both online and on the phone when they could lose one or more reservations. We are never...

I'm not sure what's going on with staffing but I went on a Saturday right st opening (11:30am) for lunch and it took us 10 min to find a wait staff to get our drinks....it's as if the waitstaff were still waking up! Food was ok, nothing to rave about, maybe perhaps the kalbi short ribs. No discount for Marriott rewards members even if you're a Platinum level member; you'll need to enroll in their paid membership program to avail 10% off. Also, there's only 1 cashier, so to avoid any checkout delays, do not pay at closing, if you wish to close out the lunch period. Pay midway so you're not stuck in line waiting to pay...it will be a long wait, especially when you have people arguing with the cashier...

I tried the place for breakfast because there was a no expiration 30% off coupon in my room after checking in. When I went to pay, the lady ripped it up in front of me and said that is was not valid and housekeeping was supposed to remove it from the room after the holidays. It is not my fault that housekeeping did not remove it from the room, and the coupon should have been honored. It is also way over priced, $30 for breakfast is way too much. I do not plan to eat her again unless I'm desperate. I do not recommend this...
