Blanco is one of my favorite restaurants and last night made a negative impact on my opinion. My boyfriend and I went out to dinner and ended up getting the 3 course for 2 people for $55 which was a great price for the both of us, but to start off the night, the server which i’m not even sure mentioned her name was nice but took almost 15 minutes to come by and greet us and when we told her what we’d like to drink we gave her food order at the same time since we were both starving! By the time the starter had been on our table and half way finished is when the drinks finally came. Throughout dinner I had noticed our server hadn’t stopped by our table a single time until we were basically finished with our entrees so even if we did need anything she was no where to be found. Now for the most disappointing part of our evening was when it came to dessert. I am a dessert person and the 2 options of dessert were not something I would personally opt for and when she stopped by we had asked if we were able to do the only other option they have on their menu. She had said that because it is a preset menu that the managers answer would most likely be no but if we still wanted her to ask that she would do so. I said if you wouldn’t mind we would really appreciate it & she had come back and said the manager said no. I would have been more than happy to pay an additional cost for the other dessert for the sake of knowing I would actually enjoy it even though it was the same price as the other 2 listed. Overall this was one of my most disappointing times coming out to blanco and not sure when i’ll be returning due to the lack of service i felt was provided from beginning to end.

UPDATE As you can see below Ricky the manager reached out not long after my original review to hopefully come by again for them to redeem themselves and they definitely did just that! My boyfriend and I went back out for his birthday and had such a great time. Brookyln our server took amazing care of us, was super attentive and just all around had great recommendations which we appreciateed. Callie the manager stopped by a few times as well to make sure this time around was better for us and it most definitely was. They for sure redeemed themselves and we’ll make...

First and foremost, the parking is very confusing and calling the restaurant and speaking to the host does nothing to help the situation. The restaurant is beautiful! We sat at the bar which was not busy at all. I suspect that the bartender was on break or it was shift change because the person assisting us did not have a clue. My drink was completely wrong and my drink is the most basic - kettle one and soda with an orange slice. I got Tito’s and orange juice with a splash of soda. We ordered appetizers at the same time as drinks which we got after our mains. He had to ask us twice what we had ordered because he couldn’t remember. The food was decent. The chips and salsa are very good. We had cheese crisp - not crispy not hot and dripping grease no cotija - tortilla soup which I found bland and barely warm - tamale which was good and flavorful and chicken burro with rice and beans. It was a nice portion and flavorful but again not hot. We were not asked our bean preference and I couldn’t get him before it was too late. We had the strawberry empanadas for dessert which were delicious. Overall a mediocre experience especially for the price and will not return to...

Hands down, this is easily one of the top three finest Mexican dining experiences we’ve ever had.

The chips were incredibly fresh, and the salsa was thick, rich, and full of flavor. The shrimp ceviche? Quite literally the best I’ve ever tasted—bright, zesty, and perfectly balanced.

My husband and I shared the chimichanga after our server mentioned how large it was, and she wasn’t kidding—it was massive and absolutely delicious.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying dessert, and the tres leches cake blew us away—moist, sweet, and downright addictive.

The ambience was spot on, the service was flawless, and the margaritas were next-level. We’re already planning our next visit for Tuesday.

Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone having anything less than an amazing...

First time here, and the restaurant was over half empty, and I was told there was a 20-25 minutes wait due to all the reservations. After asking a few more questions hostess realized many tables weren't reserved, and seated us. Guacamole was delicious, gluten free chips are available upon request. Had the short rib enchiladas which were good also. Flan for dessert was really good with the tastiest whip cream on top, and actually better than I thought would be. Will return since they make some extra precautions to gluten free meals, but will make a reservation to avoid any confusion. Parking a little difficult in this area.

I was in town to visit a friend and she had been to the phoenix location and recommended it. The taco salad was pretty good, and $14 which I would say is very fair pricing. My friend got the chicken tinga enchilada and said it was really good! We sat outside which is covered and has misting and I thought it felt fine, which I thought I would be dying of heat. Our waitress was very nice, but did forget that I had requested a straw and never brought one. She also said she’d bring us more chips and salsa which she also forgot. I thought the salsa was good, my friend said the phoenix location had a spicier salsa which she prefers.

Is this a chain restaurant? Yes. Does it slightly resemble a chain? Yes. Does it taste like a chain? NO! And that's what makes it amazing! If this is what chain restaurants all were, I would strictly go to them. Everything tasted homemade. The Margaritas actually tasted like they made them fresh (not like margarita lemonades from every else). Their short ribs are amazing, I had the short rib enchiladas and they were incredible. I sat at the bar and have fun conversations with probably 5 different workers, they all seem to enjoy themselves and want you to enjoy yourself. First time here, and it definitely won't be my last.
