This was my initial visit to this establishment. Despite its modest size, the ambiance was welcoming and inviting. Upon my arrival, I was promptly greeted and inquired about my preferences. The staff member enthusiastically recommended the menudo, which I decided to order along with a carne asada taco and a cup of coffee. The menudo was exceptionally delicious, and the taco was equally impressive. The flour and corn tortillas were freshly made on-site, contributing to the overall quality of the meal. The coffee was fresh and flavorful, leaving no unpleasant aftertaste. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a satisfying dining experience. Although it is located in the Old Town Spring area, the journey is undoubtedly worthwhile.

Visiting Houston and was starving...drove by Arturos ..checked the reviews and gave it a try. WOW!.. had the best breakfast burrito I've ever eaten and a delicious tamale as well. Yes it is a hole in the wall authentic Mexican Taqueria. Service was great the woman behind the counter was really friendly and all of the other food I saw looked amazing. This is one of those hidden gems that you stumble upon that doesn't look like anything special from the outside but surprises you with amazing food at very good prices. Definitely worth finding and trying if you're in the Houston area!

Update 7/8/2019 I’ve now eaten here a couple times on separate trips. This probably my favorite street taco of anywhere that I’ve eaten. The freshness, taste and cost are unbeatable. This is a hole in the wall, hidden gem. ——————————————————— This place is awesome. Fantastic street tacos. Would recommend to everyone. The red sauce is great. I recommend the pastor and fajita beef tacos on flour with cilantro and onion. The people running this place are super nice.

I went in twice 6:30am two separate occasions. Lady ask me what do I want before even having my tortillas made. I tell her what meat I want and I always say with beans. She charges me before even making my tacos. I don't pay attention to what's she putting. I pay then wait. I'm the only customer there. So whatever else she has going on isn't my issue. So now finally she starts making my tacos with out the beans I ask for. Then I said with beans. She looks at me as if I didn't tell her. Then once the 1st time. Oh it's 10 cent extra. But I'm gonna let it slide this time since I already charged you. Uh ok. You aren't doing me any favors. I specifically told you at the beginning with beans. Not my fault you can't pay attention to one simple task. So second time. I walk in they aren't happy to see me. I walk in she looks at me up and down. Guy looks up. Then looks down. No one seems happy about there day. I'm not but hey if you say hey good morning etc. I'm going to respond as well. I'm not going to he rude. Do you not want customers in your establishment. Then the guy told one girl make tortillas. As she walked passed him. She rolled her eyes and made a face. Then the lady who was attending me made her go do something. Idk if to get back at the guy. Like they are dysfunctional group. Can't work together seems like it. Don't have a business if you don't want customers or don't want to do your job. So 2nd time same thing. She ask me what do I want. Again I say with beans. She half charges me this time. Then makes my tacos. And again easy task with beans. She forgets. I said with beans. Again she gets upset. Then adds the tiniest amount. Then finishes my tacos. Proceeds to add to my order beans. I don't mind. But don't make me feel some type of way when in the beginning I said beans to begin with. Not my fault you get upset because I have to remind you. You need customer service training or something. I will gladly take my business else where because it doesn't seen they like me being in there. Again I was the only customer in there. At 6:30 am. If you don't like people don't...

You hear about these legendary hole-in-the-wall places that everyone would drive right past, but the locals know the truth that some of the best food is found there. Usually when you hear about one, it turns out to be just some upscale bistro with limited seating, or a true dive that has maybe one good thing. Well, sometimes the legends are true.

It's easy to drive past Arturo's. I thought I missed it, and I was looking for it and had directions. It's kind of around the corner in the shopping center.

Don't drive past Arturo's. Stop in. Eat some of the best tacos around. Then come back and tell the world about it because we need to support gems like this.

Everything we ate there was excellent. We sampled tacos, tortas and gorditas. My beef fajita torta was probably the best I've ever had. My wife loved her chicken fajita gordita. We probably would have tried all the tacos if we'd have the appetite to do it. I thought the Rojas con Queso stood out.

Don't let the modest exterior or interior put you off. It's worth the trip. Highly...

I just left this restaurant almost an hour ago first time coming here , and definitely the last time. The food was just plain mediocre, every meat at the steam table looked cold and discolored. Maybe it was whatever was left behind from the morning. There was 2 lady’s serving in the front , one was really great really nice attentive and really helpful. There was another lady short heavy set/ fat lady extremely rude , couldn’t understand why she was answering questions in that rude tone. Didn’t say anything obviously offensive but it was her tone and demeanor that was very uninviting. Wish they’re were more ppl like the First Lady , she was the only highlight of my first and last visit of this establishment . Overall food was mediocre a bit over priced for just tacos I was charged for every thing got charged for beans and didn’t even get the beans on my taco, only reason I didn’t say anything is because I was just ready to leave. Take a chance if you like I know I’m not recommending this place...
