The management of this place is inadequate. I've been here a handful of times. Each visit, the employees appear to be doing what they can - serving the customers in a line, being engaging... Customers are smiling when they leave the counter even though the only thing available is white bread and cold cuts. Literally no. wheat. bread. no meatballs. No white chunk macadamia nut cookies. Just cold cuts and white bread with some fountain drinks and oatmeal cookies. No bottled soda. One rack of plain chips. Management. I watched one employee the other day leave after her shift when trash cans had been overflowing for at least two hours; and chairs and crumbs and filth were everywhere. She may have been tired, of course. But leaving a filthy store is hard on the staff who are staying behind. She should have been instructed or better yet coached to help clean up before she leaves to relieve pressure from the team. I'll bet she would've made a massive difference with an extra 15 minutes. I feel bad for these employees. If they deserve to be hired and trusted with this store, they deserve support from a competent manager. And if this is not operated by NFM, I still expect a "2019 best place to work" to step up and require better of their vendors...
Read moreStopped off at the subway inside Nebraska Furniture Mart in Frisco. Not a very good experience. The food was as expected for a fast food restaurant. The restaurant area was not very clean with discarded food items on the floor in the dining area. The staff behind the counter made you feel like you were interrupting their day. There was one couple ahead of us and still took 15-20 minutes to place our order and pay for it. There was 4 staff members behind the counter 2 were involved in conversations while one was taking orders and preparing the food and one taking payments and running back and forth to the prep area in the back. Once our payment was taken the person taking our payment just walked away. They did not place our food in a bag or on a tray. With our food still sitting well beyond our reach. I had to Lean well into the prep area and was able to just reach our food order. Again, it seemed like the customers were interrupting their day. The lack of customer service and lack of cleanliness of this restaurant...

I dare say the only reason they are still in business is because they have a captive audience being the only restaurant in NFM. No meatballs, no soup and no onions. Only wait, there were onions. Our sandwich artist must not of known to look in the back or didn't care to, cuz when we were paying for our onion-less not meatball subs out comes another worker with a new bin of onions. But let's suppose this shortage of sandwich supplies was a fluke. Can we address the absolutely miserable service? The guy had absolutely no desire to be there let alone in helping anyone. He looked as if he was working there as some sort of punishment. The gal at the register was a wee bit friendlier better but only by comparison to the guy. Note to self: eat BEFORE...
