Good day to anyone reading. I want to give an honest and fair review.

I arrived to The Woodlands, traveling for work. Yesterday I stopped by the cafĆ© which letās admit it, is in an ideal location.
Unfortunately, the quality did not complement the inviting scenery.
The image you see (for a sandwich and cappuccino) was $17!!
-Croissant sandwich was missing the Turkey sausage. The ladies were so nice to fix my order after the error (There were 2 young ladies and 1 young man working the front). I felt bad that the young man made this mistake because he appeared to be trying to keep up.
After I received my corrected sandwich; the Turkey patty was coldā¦It was unappetizing so I discreetly asked the barista to warm up the sandwich. She was apologetic for the error and corrected it.
-Cappuccino: Tasted as if the ratio was off. Barely taste the espresso and tasted more almond milk. The bit of lavender was a wonderful touch, but coming from living in Houston where we have VIRAL, Award Winning coffee shops, this place (Blue Door) deserves to STEP UP BIG TIME! I think the staff members deserve high-quality training with some of our reputable baristas in Houston. (I would be more than happy to bridge this network if the owners are open to this). DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a barista but I know GREAT QUALITY COFFEE and small business operations.
It is disheartening to know that this business has lovely staff, atmosphere, but the QUALITY is below average. The image you see below cost $17ā¦$17 for TWO subpar items.š¤Æ
Croissant-wich (egg, cheese, Turkey sausage) $10.50. NOT FRESH!! No SIDE! The price is absurdā¦Remember, THE QUALITY of your business DESERVES to MATCH the PERCEIVED VALUE! Otherwise, people like me will catch on.
Cappuccino (almond milk & lavender) $5.70 + tax =
Total: $17 (does not include digital tip) I tipped cash
I may stop by for a pastry, but I donāt feel comfortable spending $$ for dishes or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am very disappointed in not only the quality of the food I received, but also the service from the barristas and the amount of time it took for them to prepare my order. Iāll start off by saying, the drinks look just as good as the images they post on social media. I ordered a matcha latte and I was quite impressed with how gorgeous the drink looked when I received it. However, after having the first sip of the latte I was displeased with the extreme bitter taste of the matcha and it took more than 3 packs of sweeteners to make the drink bearable enough to swallow. I just ended up not drinking it.
Also, I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was wrapped twice in aluminum foil, which ended up getting stuck to the sides of the sandwich and I had to spend an absurd amount of time picking out pieces of foil from my food. Aside from that, I couldnāt even really enjoy my food because the bread was so hard, even the knife I used to cut it in half could barely make it through the edges.
At this point, youād probably think Iād ask for them to redo my order or at least give me a refund. I figured it would just be a waste of time, because it honestly looked like the people that worked there didnāt know what was going on, they were distracted most of the time even while they were taking my order, and they werenāt even sure if the food I received was even mine , they just kinda handed it to me like āI think this ones yours.ā Iād expect them to at least put a note on it with the order, no one should have to guess peopleās order when youāre working at a food establishment. I also couldnāt help but notice that customers after me had received their order before I did, which further highlights the disorganization of the staff at this cafe.
I honestly donāt recommend this place at all. Itās a waste of time and especially money. Go to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet's start with: 4:29pm on Sunday 4/16/23, and the cleaning supplies were already out in the open on the counter...
...as we walked in, and the MOMENT I grabbed the menu, I'm "greeted" with a rude statement (snapped directly at me): "The kitchen is closed!" ... (as opposed to "Hello, Welcome in", etc.)
We are aware of the closing times for this location on a Sunday (5pm) and were simply looking for the DRINKS available on the menu, as my wife and I had zero intention to eat at this time of day; that's besides the point since we weren't even greeted or asked, "What can I get you today?" and/or "...and we apologize ahead of time, if you intend to order food, our kitchen is already closed", etc. ...had that been conveyed to us, I wouldn't be writing this review, jsyk.
In terms of the drinks; my wife ordered the cappuccino (w/simple syrup & oak milk); however, it was OVERLY piping hot along w/the steamed milk. The espresso shot (ordered on the side for tasting & testing) was lackluster, as the beans were burnt and overly SOUR (not fruity). As coffee connoisseurs that we are, temperature was off, and flavor of the oakmilk was shot right out with this excessive heat.
The high note of the visit (thank goodness) was my Matcha Latte w/strong & full-flavored Matcha powder; albeit, my normal alt milk of choice (soy) was not available here.
For context, my wife & I visit tons of independent coffee shops WEEKLY for the past 6+ years, big & small, in Houston Metro (as well as DFW) area. We're a 4+ coffee-serving daily household, as well as roasting our own beans at home.
BLUE DOOR COFFEE in The Woodlands WILL NOT BE OUR REGULAR GO-TO moving forward. Not only due its tastes ...but also due to poor staff behavior.
(I do want to recognize one other employee that greeted us "Have a nice day" on the way out. We DID...
