Some dang good food for Houston Restaurant Weeks 2021 with my friend. We went to Cyclone Anaya's Mexican Kitchen. I had some of the best and most flavorful beef enchiladas I have had in a long time. I usually don't get them at many places, because they usually mess them up. Serious flavors and different chiles in the meat. The cyclone's carne molida sauce was phenomenal. The menu choices for the $20 Lunch...

I started with the Guacamole and my friend got the ceviche, both quite tasty. I chose rice and black refried beans with my beef enchiladas. She got the Anaya's Mango Salad. We both wanted the flan for dessert, but they were sold out, so she got the Tres Leches and I got the Sopapillas. I got a large skinny margarita and she got a Topo Chico with a shot of tequila and michelada mix. Service ws great and a nice patio on the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cyclone Anaya's Tex-Mex Cuisine, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. As a dedicated foodie, I am always on the lookout for exceptional eateries, and Cyclone Anaya's exceeded my expectations in every way.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff who provided top-notch service throughout my visit. The ambiance of the restaurant is vibrant and inviting.

Now, let's talk about the food! Cyclone Anaya's Tex-Mex cuisine is a true culinary masterpiece. The menu offers a wide array of mouthwatering dishes that showcase the rich flavors and bold spices that make Tex-Mex cuisine so unique. Whether you're a fan of sizzling fajitas, cheesy enchiladas, or crispy tacos, Cyclone Anaya's has it all.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying their famous Carnitas Tacos, and I was blown away by the tender, flavorful pork combined with the fresh toppings and homemade tortillas. It was an explosion of flavors that left me wanting more. Additionally, their guacamole and salsa were absolutely delicious, and I couldn't resist ordering seconds.

Another aspect that sets this restaurant apart is their impressive drink menu. From refreshing margaritas to handcrafted cocktails, there is something for everyone. I highly recommend trying their signature Cyclone Margarita – it's the perfect balance of tangy and sweet and pairs perfectly with their flavorful dishes.

Lastly, I must commend the staff at Cyclone Anaya's for their exceptional service. We had Nuray. She was amazing. Title: An Authentic Mexican Culinary Experience - A Must-Visit!

Review:

I recently dined at Cyclone Anaya’s , and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, vibrant atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of Mexico. The decor is both authentic and tasteful, with colorful murals and traditional Mexican art that set the stage for the culinary journey ahead.

The menu is a true celebration of Mexican cuisine, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to all tastes. From the freshest guacamole made tableside to the rich and flavorful mole, every dish is a masterpiece. The tacos are nothing short of divine, with perfectly seasoned meats and fresh, handmade tortillas that melt in your mouth. The seafood options, particularly the ceviche, are incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor.

What truly sets Cyclone Anayas apart is their commitment to authenticity. Every bite transports you straight to the heart of Mexico, with ingredients that are clearly of the highest quality. The chef's passion for traditional cooking shines through in every dish, and it's clear that great care is taken in every detail, from the preparation to the presentation.

The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The staff was more than happy to make recommendations and ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. The margaritas are some of the best I've ever had, with a perfect balance of flavors and a generous pour.

Whether you're a connoisseur of Mexican cuisine or simply looking for an extraordinary dining experience, Cyclone Anayas is a must-visit. It's more than just a meal; it's a culinary adventure that celebrates the rich, vibrant flavors of Mexico. I can't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning soon! Thank you to Daniel & Cody for the experience...

Cyclone Anaya's was a nice place to eat on the waterway in The Woodlands! I liked the atmosphere here and it's in the middle of the downtown Woodlands area which means you can enjoy a nice dinner and go for a walk afterwards. My experience here was good and the food was enjoyable and worth coming back to visit again. We came here to celebrate an occasion and were greeted and seated within about 20 minutes. The good thing is if you need to kill time while waiting for a table, you can always go for a walk on the river walk. The food here is good but unfortunately, I can't say it's exceptional. The recipes are the standardized "gringo" version of Mexican food and in my opinion, it was slightly salty, but the portions were good. We ordered for the Fish Tacos, the Summer Special, the Del Rio and the Chicken Quesadillas. All the food was good and was served rather table rather quickly. **I would like other patrons to be aware of a disappointing situation that I think the restaurant needs to improve on communicating: We had requested two small bowls of the queso for our free tortilla chips and found out at the end on our bill that we were charged $11 PER BOWL, which was never originally clarified by the waiter and is exceptionally high-priced. The ambiance of the restaurant is comfortable, and the layout is nice and not too loud in here. The staff is very courteous and attentive and provided a great service! The restaurant offers the option of both indoor and outdoor seating so no matter what the weather is you can find comfortable table with a nice view. Overall, I give Cyclone Anaya's Tex-Mex kitchen a 4 out of 5 stars with note of the high cost of a bowl of queso is unwarranted.

My daughter in law graduated from SHSU with her Masters degree on 9 May 2025. I’m not sure why she chose your restaurant to celebrate with family before the graduation. I do know that no one in our party had ever been there before. Lauren was our waitress. We had a party of seven adults and two children under the age of five. From the moment we were seated Lauren took care of our every need, from taking our bar drink order, our food order, and preparing our table side guacamole order which the kids got a kick out of. We ordered the Family Parrilla meal with several add ons. Once the food arrived, she ensured we had everything we needed, from drink refills to extra tortillas. She took pictures of our family so that we could remember this joyous celebration. The two things she did that impressed me the most was to write a message at the top our receipt congratulating my daughter in law and thanking us for celebrating this milestone at your restaurant. None of us thought about bringing an ice cooler for the leftovers so she provided us with a bag of ice to keep them cold until we could stop and get an ice cooler. Lauren went above and beyond to ensure that not only did we get fantastic service but that we would remember this occasion fondly. One of the best experiences I have ever had with wait staff or a restaurant. Thank you Lauren for making a special day even more special. You are one of a kind.
