Dave & Buster's West Nyack - Palisades — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

If I could give 0 stars I would, it doesnt even deserve one star. I came here for my birthday the other day and while this is usually a fun spot my fiance and I make the trip for, this incident has turned us away from D&B completely. First, we stood there and waited to be seated, we were the only ones waiting and there were 4 girls standing directly in front of us giggling and on their phones and huddled over the podium, who were either hostesses/waitresses but either way completely ignored us. There was only one family in one of the booths eating, so its not like it was super busy, it wasnt busy at all. Completely fed up we walked into the restaurant area and we seated ourselves. 5 minutes later and there were waiters walking around and just starring at us. Finally a girl comes over to take our drink orders and I ordered a drink. She comes back with the waters and then my drink, and then asks us if were ready to order our food when we never even got menus. Finally we got menus and ordered our food and only a few minutes later my fiance noticed a roach behind my head on the back of the booth. I got up grossed out and yelling for him to kill it, he killed it and I asked us to switch sides in the booth, but when i looked down at the other side of the booth there were a ton more roaches on the booth. It was then I noticed that these roaches were coming out from everywhere on the booth and I bet we werent the only booth that had roaches. This was when we became fed up, we picked up our things and ran out, telling the hostess at the front of what had happened and that we were leaving. She brought the manager out who apologized and said we didnt have to pay, (which i barely touched my drink so i would hope not) and then said that they have an exterminator but that sometimes they can get up here because theyre above a food court? Which was a lame excuse because he essentially threw the whole food court under the bus by insinuating that its nasty and bug infested, which whether or not it is, should not affect the dave and busters. Its obvious that this mall is disgusting and that this dave and busters is so un kept its awful. The entire place wreaks of sweat and theres dirty plates and cups littered throughout the arcade as well as roaches in the restaurant part. I highly suggest this location be shut down because its awful from in and out and top and bottom. Do NOT go here, travel the extra miles to a different location...

My experience with the manager last night on 9/27 was disappointing. The worker was flip flopping on his helpfulness to compensate me and my family as we were out celebrating my brother's 18th birthday. We asked if we can be compensated for the coins we clearly paid for with our dave and buster cards. History on the card is proof we paid for each game. However, he said their is nothing he can do at this time and we have his word when we return to be compensated on one video game. I informed him, it wasn't just one game, it was two. He went on saying "Why did I swipe at the game so many times," I explained several times you get credits in the game and have plenty of lives. Then this man stated his name and word should be valid enough. He then said his name is Luke, then midway into the conversation he said his name is Nick. Then wrote on paper Luke. I then asked is his name Luke or Nick, he remained silent. Once he remained silent, I said "Not a problem I want the number to corporate so my family and I can be compensated as we were abruptly interrupted from the games we put credits into". I am not sure what the workers name is, however his unprofessionalism as I was asking for corporates number was alarming. Although he stated several times he wanted to help, but couldn't due to the systems being down, I was understanding of this but wanted this evidence in writing so I can return and be compensated accordingly anytime should I return. This worker then wrote down Luke on paper. However once the worker was done trying to guide me to corporate, he felt "forced to write out corporates number," for the customer who literally spent well over $500 dollars on food and gaming services, I stated "Thank you and I will notify corprate so i can be compensated correctly". He became unprofessuonal as my family and I were leaving stating "Goodnight crackhead" and this is truly unacceptable customer service. I don't feel this type of engagement is acceptable in a work environment as my family left extremely disappointed with the services he provided us at night. As for why he stated goodnight crackhead, I cannot give a valid reason but his verbal disrespectful behavior cannot continue. As a law enforcement officer, I honestly couldn't be more disappointed at the words I herd out of his mouth while exiting with my family. Truly uncalled...

My family and I went to this location yesterday for the arcade and decided to eat dinner there. Two of the children’s meals we had ordered came out pretty fast. The rest of the food took a long time to come out. My husband’s meal came with a basket of fries but they were cold. He told the server, who was holding another customer’s entree that had another basket of fries, that his were cold. the server put her hand in between the wax paper and the metal basket to try and feel the temperature and put her hand over the fries. She then swapped out the basket of fries with the other she was holding and proceeded to walk away. My whole table watched her walk with the fries that my husband just touched and ate from that she had also touched herself and SERVED THEM TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. We were all horrified, my husband went over to the other customer’s table and told them what happened. When the server came back and passed our table I said something to her pointing out what we all watched her just do. Without even stopping she literally shrugged her shoulders and said “I don’t know” and continued to walk away back into the kitchen. We told our waitress (who had nothing to do with it, she was very polite and professional) and she got the manager, Griffin. We were told there was a language barrier despite her understanding exactly what she was told by touching the fries when he said they were cold. After my husband asked, his meal was comped but we were offered nothing, barely even an apology. The manager asked us what the server looked like and said he’d talk to her. she went into the kitchen and we never saw her walk back out and he never followed up. I’m fully aware that worse things happen in the kitchen that we don’t see, however if they will do this in our face I can’t even imagine what they do behind closed doors. Our waitress was lovely and the only good part of our experience there. The rest of our food wasn’t very good. I will never eat at this...
