IN NEED OF NEW MANAGEMENT!!!! I was so excited to visit this place & even happier to see MARK Viera 11/25/22. I booked my fiaance a booth for his bday. We all got there early enough 8pm for our 9:30show. Check-in was going to be at 8:30pm (on my ticket). We were like 15th in line and around 8:30pm a young lady came out to scan tickets. She asked for my name CHECKED US IN but never scanned my tickets. I asked her to scan them like she did everyone before me but told me it was not necessary. Thought it was the process for booth guests not to be scanned so I waited patiently. But after waiting for an hour & seeing some customers inside enjoying cocktails I went to the guy in the door asking for assistance but he told me to wait - that doors will open around 10pm. We kept waiting as we were told to do. When my fiaance asked for the 3rd time an HOUR later (now around 9:40pm) that's when someone inside said - that we were the MISSING BOOTH. I was so upset - we had missed the bar time since the show was starting. (total waste of extra money) They mentioned that we were LATE & we should have came in earlier to enjoy. That made me MAD -Trust me NOONE came out to look for us at all. When we were finally allowed in (now 2hrs later) I told the front desk lady what happened (A MANAGER-Black male) came out & instead of understanding, helping the situation; he told me to calm down that the show had not started. He literally told me to move while I was trying to explain to him what happened but instead he asked me to MOVE and let others pass. I asked for a manager & he said he was. WOW didnt expect that the way he was talking to us. I told him to be more courteous & considerate to customers as a manger. Knowing the truth must have made him upset that He literally said -you didn't miss anything ,RELAX & walked away. I expected him to be kind, considerate to us as the manager - after knowing a customer was treated unfairly. I thought as BOOTH customer we were allowed to go in a little earlier and enjoy a drink before the show but the MANAGER was extremely RUDE to us & completely disregard the fact that we didn't enjoy the full experience due to lack of processes done by his scanning girl. He talked to us like we didn't matter. It was a shame we didn't enjoy our experience as expected & paid for.
ADVICE: MAKE SURE THEY SCAN YOUR TICKETS properly or you will wait 2hrs like we did & the manager will not HELP YOU.
This PLACE NEEDS better scanning processes, customer service & a NEW CARING MANAGER. Besides that - The servers, bartenders & MARK were great. The Food was normal nothing big to brag or talk...
Read moreI've been here multiple times and i loved it. My past vist with a group of 7 this past sunday was by far the WORST! The show was for T.J. Miller and the show itself and waiters were 100% on the ball.
It's the actual people who run it that made the experience horrible.
My friends and I purchased general admission tickets. V.I.P. tickets included a meet and greet with T.J. and sometimes for general admission people they allow you to pay up front to take a picture with the comedian (I've done it before with the Chris Kattan show). When we first got there I had asked the guy who took our tickets if we would be able to take a picture with T.J. if we pay extra. His response was "that's a good question, I'll figure that out and I'll come to you and let you know" . He never ended up telling me anything.
Once the show was over all V.I.P. people got online, so did my friends and I thinking that there was a possibility for us to pay extra and get a picture with the comedian. This is where things went left. So I realized that V.I.P. had wristbands and we were gonna get no shot at getting a picture, so i tell my friends that we should just head out and not waste time. Mean while this is going on, one of the staff memberA quickly started to check everyone for wristbands and rushes to get to us and says oh you guys don't have a wristband so leave(said it in a very rude way). This is when my bf approached another staff memberaB. who was there as well and said well we were hopping we could pay extra and get a picture, and staff membersB response was well you should of taked care of that before the show. I stepped in and said I did ask before the show and was told that I would be informed about it and got no info. The staff member did not careB, he turned around left while other staff members were rushing us out the door. As this is occurring staff memberB says under his breath "BIT*ES". My bf turns around and says what did you say and automatically staff memberB says oh no I didn't say anything. The staff memberC tells me and my friends as they're rushing us out, if you guys can afford it then don't come.
This by far was the worst! If I had asked it was because in the past they have done this with celebrity comedians, what was so different now?? We were disrespected for absolutely no reason! My friends and I were fine and agreed to leave but the staff decided to be rude and ended up in a whole commotion, when it could have been handled so differently!! Absolutely no need to disrespected their clientele!
Not sure if I'll be...
Read moreLevity Live is one of the only spots to see decent comedy in upstate, NY. There's not a lot of competition, which means no incentive to deliver a better experience. My lady and I went out to see Casey Rocket. The performers were great and we're appreciative of Levity Live providing an opportunity for us upstate New Yorkers to see them. That being said, they have a 2 item minimum per person and their stuff is not cheap. Be ready to spend $100 or more just by attending an evening show. The food wasn't good. The lady and I got Chicken Caesar salads and they were awful. The dressing wasn't good, which ruins the whole salad. Definitely get the dressing on the side if you do plan to order this. We also tried the Cheeseburger Egg rolls. They're $17 and they give you two egg rolls cut in half. They're not delicious and that price is unreasonable for what they give you. They give a bunch of rules when you walk in to adhere to during the show. No using of a cellphone, keep conversations to a minimum, be polite and no shouting. Meanwhile, their servers are walking around with bright tablets, talking to the patrons, and bumping into people. The actual space is tiny. This is good for being able to hear everything no matter where you're sitting, but awful for comfort. I'm a 6ft tall man of average size to that height. My knees were not fitting under that table that they sit 4 people at, so my personal space was constantly trampled. And then the servers and people walking by were bumping into my knees all night. I had to worry more about staying out of the way than enjoying the show. You're going to be squished. Shoulder to shoulder with strangers for the entire evening. Finally, the server comes to settle up towards the end of the show. Trouble is, that's when you want to be paying attention the most. That's during the headliners set. The servers tried to be quiet and courteous, but they were still interrupting my experience. And if they didn't insist on making us buy two items, I would not have been bothered at all. I've been to the Funny Bone in Albany and countless clubs in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I've never had these problems before at any of those. This place is going to ruin your experience. Don't go unless you know you can't see the talent elsewhere. It's only worth it if it's your only option. And they know it. It's why they have the rules and handle things the...
