I had a wonderful experience at this Mad for Chicken location, especially compared to the one in Massapequa.
After a long day at work, I picked up some takeout while I was literally starving and practically foaming at the mouth from the smell of the food. Despite my hunger, I can confidently say that my positive review is based on the food and overall experience, not just my empty stomach!
I ordered the signature wings and tenders, half non-spicy and half spicy. The staff were awesome and i was met with a smile at pick up. Pick up was quick and easy, my order was ready when they said it was. I had a 15-minute drive home, but they vent the boxes, which is genius! It helps keep the chicken crispy and prevents it from getting soggy.
When I got home, the chicken was in perfect shape--incredibly crispy and crunchy. The sauce brushed on the chicken was absolutely delicious. I was shoveling chicken tenders into my mouth because it was my first meal of the day. Even though I was in full-on savage animal mode, I believe the chicken would be delicious even if you weren't as hungry as I was.
I'm not usually a huge fried chicken lover; I might have it once a month or even less often. But this was the best fried chicken I've had in a while. Just make sure you like the type of sauce they use, as it can be a hit or miss for some.
This great experience at this location inspired me to try the one closer to my town, but unfortunately, it was a letdown with soggy chicken. I'm hoping it was just a one-time issue, and I'll give them another chance.
Overall, I highly recommend giving Mad for Chicken a try. It's reasonably priced, has a good selection to choose from, and the food...
Read moreOrdering to go is a much better experience than dining in. We've been ordering to go for the last few months since dining in wasn't an option prior. Finally the dinning room was open so we decided to sit in. It was a terrible experience. The wait for food was ridiculous. Even how they brought out the food. My husband's food came out 30 mins prior to mine. I told him to go ahead and eat because i noticed the family of 5 near us had the mom's food come out as we arrived and then 15mins after, one of the daughter's food came out and still after that the other 3 still had not received their food. They didn't receive their food until i received mine. The father was really annoyed. My food came out and it was luke warm and my chicken was soggy. It didn't make sense bc our server was quick to retrieve it as the bell rang. The main server, the guy who has been the main face you see for months at the bar area, as an absolute hard worker, very friendly and overall great server. Unfortunately the kitchen seems to be overloaded with in room dining and to go orders, that cooking quality is has dropped.
What was off putting too, was as our server was swamped, running btwn tables, the kitchen window and bar...there was a young female worker there who said that she didn't feel like working and was there just to be lazy. That was insulting to our server who literally works his butt off each and every time we've been there. You can tell our server was overwhelmed and tired. While she was just sitting on her phone, essentially there to only look pretty.
I don't think they are quite ready for in room dining just yet. But to go has...
Read moreI usually have a great experience here but today ig wasn't:( I really don't like being a Karen or what not but I ordered a takeout for a bulgogi bowl which includes the following according to there website "Beef bulgogi, Korean glass noodles, steamed vegetables, roamine, sunnyside up egg, Hickory BBQ and crema" The only modification I put into notes is to just remove the steamed Veggies and to make the egg well done. When I got my bowl, I was disappointed to see that it was just the egg, rice, bulgogi and the lettuce. One of the reasons why I even buy this bowl is because I really like the glass noodles and the crema. Both of which was not in the bowl:( So I decided to call to ask if maybe I had to pay extra to get glass noodles. The person on the phone proceeds to tell me, Oh, we are not offering the bulgogi bowls for the day and are only offering bulgogi over rice. And i'm confused, because then why didnt they contact me saying that they couldn't complete my order? She proceeds to ask for my details. And apparently my name just doesn't come up in the system. Then proceeds to leave me on hold for fifteen minutes (Which is surprising because when I picked up the food, there was literally no one in the restaurant) then hangs up without saying anything. I'm guessing they did not want to go through trouble to contacting me and just gave me an over rice version. Rather than the bowl I actually wanted. Super disappointed and never gonna order...
