Drove from Mid Suffolk County, 45 minutes, to have a Gluten Free Dinner, before a show in Westbury. San Remo was recommended on a Gluten Free Facebook page. We arrived 10 minutes prior to reservation and were seated immediately. Nice Italian decor, comfortable lighting. Great couples feel. Waiter was very nice. GF menu was amazing as they had a dedicated cooking space and fryer. Had GF stuffed artichoke with an amazing sauce, GF fried calamari, GF Gnocchi with Bolognese, and a regular Chicken Parm(for me). The food rocked. If I had one complaint it would be that our entree did not come out for about an hour. Partially my fault for not letting the waiter know we had an 8pm show, but I figured being seated at 6pm we had plenty of time. On the positive side, if we did not have the show we could have stayed longer without being rushed. The dinner was worth the long drive and if heading in that direction we will...
Read moreService at San Remos was unacceptable. It was very disappointing when dining with my family as waiter who assisted us made us feel rushed as apparently it was near to closing time. We got to order appetizers and felt rushed while trying to enjoy before ordering our main meal He mentioned to us that his manager had told him to rush us because it was near to closing time. We felt disgusted by the waiters attitude as he stormed away saying he was getting his manager which never came. We ended paying for what we had ate and never got to eat dinner as we felt that they didnt care for our service so we decided to take our business elsewhere. If it was near to closing time they should not have accepted our reservation for a party of seven and we would have understood at that point. We are highly disappointed local RVC residents of San...
Read moreWe called ahead to get a table because we went on a Friday night. Was immediately asked if anyone needed a gluten free menu which I did. It was very difficult to choose my dinner entree because I am so accustomed to not being able to eat almost anything on the menu. I finally chose the clams and linguine in white sauce because it has been so many years since I have had it. My friends chose eggplant Parmesan and a stuffed chicken breast. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. One hiccup was that mine wasn't made gluten free, but they corrected it quickly. The pasta tasted homemade and the clams were fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. Another added bonus was getting served warm, homemade gluten free bread to eat both before and with my meal. Such a treat! I will definitely be back to try more of their gluten...
