So yesterday was my first time eating here since i just started a job in the area. And it will definitely be the last. Everything seems familiar, that is if you have ever been in a pizzeria before. I ordered my food and waited patiently. Man taking my order seemed in a rush, but I figured that was just the lunch rush mentality sticking with him. I get my food and head back to work to eat. Up till now I could have reasonably give a 4 to this establishment. This is where it falls apart. The sauce was so salty and kind of watery. It seemd like they had a decent sauce and thinned it out with water, then tried to season it up to disguise it. Can't say for sure, but that's what it tasted like. The pasta was undercooked and the meatballs just tasted of mush. I know I can't expect super fresh, hand rolled meatball in a smaller "grab and go" style pizzeria, but these where clearly long past the safe time in a freezer. And to add literal injury to the insult of this food, I woke up extremely ill. The food from this establishment was the ONLY thing I ate different from my family and I was the only one praying at the porcelain alter this morning. Leads to believe I was dead right about those meatballs and should have just stopped after the first bite. I know they have a great review, its why I tried them in the first place, and maybe they were just having an off day when it came to my order. But me actually getting sick after eating the food is completely beyond the potential for forgiveness and second chances. Will never eat...
Read moreCalled to inquire for a party event. Man answers, hello... i say is this Rosa's Pizza. Man says in a nasty tone, ugh yes. I said im looking to order for an event I see your menu online he says we don't even have a menu online I don't know who put that there or where you got it. I said ok, well can you tell me if the salad serves 1 person or more than 1. He say everything is one person unless you order from the catering menu. I ask how much is the salad. He says, "I can't talk to you now I'm preparing for rush hour. Would u like to call back.. "
First of all, your customer service sucks if this is how you interact with ppl looking to give you business.
Second, why should I make time for you to make money off of my order when you can't make time to speak to me
Third, if you couldn't speak to me right now then why did you even answer the phone?
Extremely rude and unprofessional. If your food is anything like your attitude keep it to yourself...its nasty and I don't care for it.
Politeness goes farther than a...
Read moreAs someone that bakes his own pizza at home and has tasted all the big names from John’s on Bleecker to Mama Lombardi’s (first pizza place in USA) to Little Vincent’s I can say that Rosa’s slides into my top 3 of all time. I visited last week and went back three more times. It’s a classic Neapolitan slice but what makes a pizza great is the love and attention to detail that the cooks put into it. That’s what you taste in Rosa’s pizzas. The sauce is to die for #1 and the ratio of cheese to sauce to crust is just right. The slices come out as good as fresh pies which says a lot as well. The ovens are so well seasoned even if I duplicate the recipe at home, I couldn’t get the same beautiful oven-char flavor on the crust. Get the Margarita slice - it is perfection. If you visit the village, skip the other spots and come to Rosa’s for your pizza cravings. No frills just top notch traditional NY pizza the way it ought to be -...
