The Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Town of North Elba

Very unwelcoming attitude. Last weekend we were in lake placid with our kids. We looked for breakfast place and this pace good reviews. Asked our kids to head there before us and we arrived few minutes after them. As I entered and went it talked to them I relaxed that the guy behind the bar was looking at us in strange way. Asked my kids what they want and they told me that since they came in the guy behind the bar. Seems the owner was looking at them in very strange way and made them uncomfortable. We end up only getting sandwiches for my son and wife since I refuse to order when the service is this much pathetic. Food was okay. Not that great but not bad. That what my wife and son told me. We never went back again...

10/10 views. 1/10 customer service. I didn’t like how the man working mansplained what a flat white was to me after I had just waited 25 minutes for a coffee. I was a barista in Australia where a flat white and a latte got the same amount of milk, the difference was in amount of air you let into the milk when steaming (hence why a flat white is flat milk). I ordered a cortado and was caught off guard when I asked for a little more milk and he said “order a flat white next time”. Again, I had just waited TWENTY FIVE minutes for a coffee. The caramel macchiato was great! It’s the perfect balance between the caramel flavoring and the coffee. The iced latte was great as well. It has sort of a woodsy taste to it (in a good way). Just the right amount of sweetness. The view also can’t get much better than this. The service was amazing. They helped us find exactly what we were looking for and they served us our coffee right to our seat. And again the view is...
