Charming new Chinese restaurant serving Yunnan cuisine in the former Zen Garden location. This was our first time visiting. The banquet seating is the same, but the place is decorated with festive red lanterns, a mannequin dressed in regional garb, and plays peaceful, soothing traditional Chinese music. This place specializes in serving hot broth in oven-heated stone-like bowls, where the staff brings out fresh rice noodles and adorable little dishes on a wooden bridge display, with a what looks like a dozen little samples of meat(beef/pork/chicken), tofu skins, and assorted vegetables. This is a new restaurant, and I sincerely wish them success, but based on my experience, I will not judge how this business goes. Wait a year, and you will see. Good luck.
The owner responded, translated from the original: “If you don’t like our restaurant, eat...
Read moreThe food is really good. My daughter got the dried rice noodle - very flavorful and perfectly intense. My sister got the truffle and wyugo noodle - presentation and taste both excellent. I got the braised beef noodle - which was great. We lived in Flushing for 10 years - and this place would strongly hold its own against the best noodle shops there. The other surprising thing was the price - which for great neck was very reasonable. Hopefully they...
