I recently moved to Manhasset from the city and have been pleasantly surprised by the affordable dining options in the area. One place that has quickly become a favorite is Cactus Cafe in Port Washington.
I have visited this cafe twice now and have been amazed by the quality of food at such reasonable prices. The regular menu offers a variety of options, with prices averaging around $10 per person. However, what truly caught my attention was their late-night special. After 10pm, their burritos are only $5, making it an incredible deal. It's no wonder that there can be a bit of a wait during those late hours, as it has become extremely popular among locals.
As someone who has experienced years of overpriced food in the city, it's refreshing to see business owners who genuinely care about the community and offer affordable options without compromising on taste or quality. Cactus Cafe is a shining example of this commitment, and it's heartwarming to witness their dedication to providing great food at reasonable prices.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy delicious and affordable meals, I highly recommend giving Cactus Cafe a try. The variety of options, along with their late-night burrito special, make it a standout choice. Be prepared for a wait after 10pm, but rest assured that it's well worth it. It's a place that truly values the community and offers a dining experience that exceeds...
Read moreI've never been to this small chain before but I've been interested.
Had a specialist appointment far from home and rushed out late w no time for breakfast.
Popped in after my appointment in hunger fog with emerging caffeine headache. I ordered the first few things I saw on the sign - no questions or investigation as to what I ordered - just wanted food asap.
It's straight forward, fresh, and delicious. I'm in the parking lot mobile ordering a coffee elsewhere and it is taking extreme discipline to not pop in for one more crispy-chicken taco to go. I'm stuffed and need that caffeine STAT but the sauce on the chx taco was soooo good.
Young ppl on shift friendly and polite.
Dining room painted cute. Thematically related music piped in at comfortable volume. (Was hoping for a little Fania All Stars but to be fair that's more NYC Latin not really Tex-Mex).
Will return on the day of my next appointment w this doctor - and will explore other locations hoping 🤞 they're...

I waited in line to order some extra stuff that I've ordered on various occasions previously. To end up being overcharged $36 for 1 large black beans & 1 large refried beans. I canceled my bean order. How does a button on your register disappear? I've always been charged $6 a piece for large beans. Which is also the price of an order of rice & beans posted in store. There are plenty of ways to accommodate & provide customer service if motivated. Is this because of new employees or lack of training or just not giving a flying fudge? I honestly love this establishment, I hope this is a rare occasion (holidays) of just a bad day. I had proof of large beans previously purchased, my picture, which I showed to the employee, she basically rolled her eyes, not giving...
