Ralph's Famous Italian Ices — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS LOCATION!!!

If I could give this dump a 0 star I would!

The ice cream taste super old like it’s been sitting in the fridge like that for months. The consistency is off and the taste is HORRID. I literally had to spit it out. It left such a horrible taste in my mouth. Someone could get sick from this!!! It’s a huge issue.

I proceeded to tell the employee, Nathan (unless he lied about his name too), about the situation with the taste and he’s like well you still have to pay for it. At this point, I’m just appalled. He was beyond rude and honestly should be fired for how he handled the entire situation. I asked for the managers number and the Nathan the employee gave me a fake number to call.

There was also a point Nathan was making someone a milkshake and you can hear the chunks of ice in the milkshake from the old ice cream. The blender was having an issue breaking it down. The ice cream in this place is completely old and that shows this.

The employee Nathan was also handling the ice cream and touching holding money with the same exact gloves on. He never bothered to change gloves or take them off. He also has long hair and is not wearing a hair net. Additionally, the floor was disgustingly dirty and black. You could tell that it hasn’t been clean in months.

We have been to several different locations of Ralph’s and I have never seen a location like this ever. I have already reported this location for unsanitary conditions and unsafe food practices.

I also just looked at our receipt and instead of the receipt saying “Ralph’s” it says “ KEFA2 LLC” ? I have no idea what scam is going on in here but STAY AWAY!! DO NOT COME TO...

I would not recommend this place for Italian ice or ice cream. They advertise tens of flavors on boards inside and outside the store, but they were out of each flavor of ice cream that I had asked for. When I asked which flavors they had, he told me that there was only strawberry, chocolate, “a very little bit” of vanilla, and some other flavor. I chose instead to get water ice, which seemed freezer-burned and crystallized. The service wasn’t great either, the kid seemed more into his phone than into updating the sold-out flavors on the boards. Won’t be back and I can’t recommend you try this place either. Favorite icy place and favorite place for a summer snack.So many flavors to choose from. Rainbow cookie and Jelly ring are favorite. These ices taste exactly like their names its insane. Ice cream and shakes are also very good. Average about $5 per person. Don't forget to tip the servers. Wish they would stay open through the fall...
