The young lady who was there that day Mallory, was very professional and courteous and had a smile on her face the entire time. She was training a new trainee who was just as courteous and I didn't catch his name. As a dock Master she was very thorough and help me load my boat as did the new trainee. When launching a boat they made sure that I got away clearly from the pylons and when I returned they were both there waiting for me to dock the boat. I like the parking it was close to the boat location. I would have liked to have gotten better directions when I left out of the club because I got a little turned around even with my navionics app. but in the end that turned out to be a good thing because I got to see a little more of the treasure Island area. I was out fishing for kings and hooked into one big one but lost it at the boat taking my $20 Rapala! I would recommend treasure Island as a destination for any other members in Freedom Boat Club to go down and enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner in the pass at John's pass! the two restaurants across from each other just before you go underneath the overpass we're just bristling with people and the food was absolutely delicious! We wI'll bebe back...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience yesterday on a great tri-toon reserved at the Treasure Island Freedom Boat Club. The boat was ready, clean, and fully fueled. FBC Dockmaster Isaac was super friendly, informative, and professional. He confirmed our reservation before arrival and was ready at the dock upon our return. Our guests remarked that Isaac was absolutely great! Parking was free and close to the dock. The dock is in front of a restaurant where the restrooms were accessible and clean. The Bennington Tri-Toon, equipped with a 150 h.p. outboard, provided more than enough power for a party of six adults. It was a particularly windy day, the boat delivered outstanding performance during our four hour boat ride. To shield the wind, we anchored in a small cove where we ate lunch. The anchor came in handy. Our quests raved about the comfortable seating arrangements. I was impressed with the in dash, digital info systems. Speed, RPM, depth, and fuel remaining were displayed. From reservation to completing the boat trip, there were no problems. Thank you Isaac and FBC of...
Read moreThis was the worst experience my guests and myself have ever experienced at a Marina. I called an hour ahead of our reservation to make sure our vessel was ready and operating correctly. I arrive only to find the dock master hitting the propeller on our boat with a hammer which we reserved weeks in advance and tells us it is not functioning properly. They put us in a smaller boat which was in terrible condition the seats were all torn up and my 7 guests felt uncomfortable. I’ve never been to this marina before and on our way to our anchor destination we find out the depth meter does not work. We tried calling the marina several times and they weren’t picking up. Once we finally got in touch with them and informed him about the depth meter he yells “Well can’t you use your eyes to see how shallow the water is”. I wasn’t aware you pay to be treated this way at the club. It’s a shame we were looking forward to experiencing this marina in st pete. One of my guests was even considering joining the boat club but after this experience he has some...
