Unfortunately, if I could I wouldn’t even give a single star for service.
As a patron of Ricky T’s for over 10 years. Every year I like to go and enjoy the atmosphere, food and live music. This year, after highly suggesting this establishment to my friends, my friends (a group of 16) decided to go.
This time, I was very very disappointed in the service. As our group of 16 checked in to be seated, we asked for 2 tables of 8 with 2 different waitresses (to make it easier) but the waitress “Lauren” insisted on putting us all together (I guess thinking she could handle it). As she took each couples orders she seemed as if she was fine but…. She wasn’t. We had to ask for refills over and over again. Once she delivered our food she was MIA. Then when it was time for the bills she asked if 9 couples could give her a credit card so she could divide the entire bill 9 ways. (Wait, what???? 16 people ordering different meals and drinks and she wanted to divide it 9 ways)!! We proceeded to tell her that was unacceptable, she then started arguing with our friend. She then goes to the register to separate the bills and comes back with everyone’s bill incorrect. As we explained to this waitress calmly that she had it all wrong she told us she can’t separate our checks. Though she had just tried to separate the checks and I guess she couldn’t comprehend how to do it right, then proceeds to arguing again. She started telling us that the reason why the bills were jacked up were because we were all ordering at once, we laughed with shock. This waitress took our orders slowly per couple. Each one of us were not yelling our orders at her all at once. There is NO EXCUSE for the lying from her trying to get herself off the hook because there were 16 witnesses. Not once did a manager come to our table to talk to us. After an hour of mayhem of trying to get closed out correctly, bills were still wrong and our frustration was at 100. All of us sucked it up paid the incorrect bills and went on our way very unhappy.
We are aware that Ricky T’s has just re-opened that’s why we went there to help “locals” out from the hurricane but in the end we will NEVER go there again. My advise to this establishment is get better training to your waitresses, especially of large parties and advising your workers that arguing with patrons because “you messed up” will get you no where and lose alot...
Read moreOrdered grouper dinner with mango vinaigrette sauce comes with rice and seasoned veggies. We sat waited 10 minutes then started looking around for about 5 more minutes. Made eye contact with a couple employees thinking they would come or get someone to wait on us but no such luck. I get up and walk towards bartender who comes around to our table and it very helpful and takes our order. Great we thought. I ordered grouper dinner she asks how I want it cooked. I say ummm I thought it comes with the mango sauce cooked a specific way. She says yes but can be blackened, grilled, broiled or cooked a bunch of other ways. I say okay grilled then. She asks what sides would like. I say I thought it comes with rices and veggies? she says yes but if you wanted something else. I say no just what comes with, the regular way. When food comes out, all of mine is plain no sauce or spice or anything on any of the food at all. Nothing at all on fish, plain white rice and plain veggies no sauce or spices at all. Just plain tasteless. We ask the food server wasn’t this supposed to have a mango sauce. He says you mean the sauce it cones with normally. We say Yes he says well or doesn’t come on it when grilled. Huh? He will go get us some if I would like. Yes please! Great but when he comes and I put on it is dark green pesto sauce. Waitress vibes and asks how is everything so we tell her. Oh they just gave you the wrong sauce. I will get you some. Comes back no apology at all and says we are out of that sauce. I say then I do not want this dish sorry but can you take back? She says uh ok and takes it leaves. Never comes back again until brings the check and never apologized or offered to get me djytjknh else or a discount at all. Nothing was said. So disappointed. I would not recommend or go back again. Two...
Read moreMy friends and I had a traumatic evening here on Saturday that management could have handled so much better - blaming and shaming victims of a crime isn't the right thing to do, under any circumstances. My friend left her purse on the ground while we danced nearby to the live band. When she went to pick it up, it was gone. She went to tell management who wasn't interested in hearing anything about it. Then she saw a young woman who had her purse and was able to peacefully get it back from her. She went back to management to again report the theft and who the thief was. Their response? They kicked my friends and I out of the establishment, loudly and with hostility. Upon leaving, I said to the man who was escorting me out: "I don't understand. Why are we being kicked out for getting our purse stolen?" Yes, I was respectful. An honest and legitimate question under the circumstances. His response? He SCREAMED in my face, spittle flying, that we had to get out of the bar immediately. Another bouncer put his hands on my friend pushing her out and the purse victim was treated as if she was the criminal. Our crime? Leaving a purse unattended. Yes, our mistake and lesson learned, we allowed ourselves to get too relaxed on our girls' trip. A simple "I'm sorry this happened to you" from management could have gone a long way and everyone could have just continued with their evening. However, Ricky T's was more concerned about getting victims out than confronting the thief. We felt very unsafe, not only from being a crime victim but from the staff as well. We didn't want anyone else to go through what we did so we called the police and filed a theft report. Be especially aware of your surroundings and your valuables if you choose to visit this...
