Despite being happy hour, I felt overcharged, especially with the surprise addition of a health insurance tax that wasn’t disclosed before ordering, and which is not customary in our area. The food quality was underwhelming—uninspired and lackluster. Which unfortunately I took no memories home, from this experience, It left me feeling regretful like I was a lowly ordering off the happy hour menu.
The oysters, touted on the website as $3 for happy hour, were misleadingly and limited to East Coast varieties, which was not disclosed on their website, and the ones served were so tiny they were barely visible, and grainy. The ambiance resembled a warehouse, with black curtains creating a cold, uninviting atmosphere.
To make matters worse, I was charged the same price for a few small pieces of lettuce for my burger as for a full salad we ordered. French fries were brought out, which I didn’t recall ordering, and I assumed they came with the burger. Instead, they were added to the bill without notice.
Even the seating was uncomfortable, with poorly designed barstools that cut off circulation to our legs. The entire experience was a major letdown, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.
First impressions last a long time, and I feel no need to become a repeat customer.
On a positive note, the server was the one bright spot, offering excellent service and a welcoming...
Read moreUnHappy Hour. Very Disppointed! Saw on their website that they had happy hour from 5pm to 6pm. With reasonably items. Three of us showed up at 4:50 wine of people at the door. The hostess seated the first 12 people and when she got to us she said there were only 2 seats left at the bar. The rest of the restaurant was totally empty. I said we would take the two seats at the high top table and one of us would stand. She said we not allowed to stand and eat. I said ok can we sit at a regular table? She said yes, but the items would be full price, no happy hour prices. So the bottom line is happy hour is only for the first 14 people and everyone else had to find another place. The regularly menu is way over priced and there are plenty of other good resturants in town who welcome more then 14 customers. The website does not mention limited seating.(Instagram does I found the next day) even so it is a terrible business model to encourage a happy hour prices and turn away the majority of people unless you if you are not willing to pay full price. We will never go back and will...
