John Henry’s — Restaurant in Tucson

The bartender kicked my 28 & 20 yr old children out while I was in the bathroom in a city they've never been to and is known to be dangerous at night. We needed to use the restroom and my 28 yr old and I purchased a shot to be able to use the restroom. My daughter attempted to buy 2 more when he did that. The worst part is, I was planning on tipping $20 for his kindness since he was clearly irritated by our presence from the moment we walked in. We just needed to use the restroom before a ghost tour. It was going to be 2 mins of work for $20. That behavior is absolutely uncalled for at 8pm and Im beyond disappointed that someone would have a young girl and boy outside and do something dangerous like that when AZ law says they're allowed in with their parent and it wasn't even busy or...

Went to John Henry’s for the first time last Friday. Little miss Lien kept telling me to come check it out so me and a couple of my girl friends went by for a few drinks. Got there at 9 thinking we’d hit up Hifi after… we didn’t end up leaving until 1am so we skipped the other bars lol. John Henry’s was…Well… it was awesome! It’s never a dull time with such a funny bartender. It’s also not your usual downtown vibe it’s more personal. At least with Lien around making everyone in the bar have a good time. Girl can multitask.

Only down fall is the bathrooms can use some real cleaning.

Definitely coming back when she’s working. I’ll probably try it again on a day she isn’t to really get to feel out the bar...

One of the best bars in Tucson and a definite fixture in the downtown scene. Excellent service from all of the bartenders and a wide selection of drinks. My favorite aspect is the ability to actually have a conversation with people you're with - it's a really great space to spend with friends and catch up leisurely, rather than yelling over music at some club. Definitely a more laid back experience, and that's perfect for downtown Tuc. Also on Fridays they have a really sweet and gracious bartender named Kate working, she'll mix you up something fierce!
