Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The two front desk girls need to be retrained on how to talk to customers. I had a family member pick up my coffee for me and drop it off 5 min away because I was in back to back meetings ALL day. Once I received it I realized they accidentally got the wrong order and there was absolutely no way for me to go back right away as I was still finishing up a meeting. Once the meeting was over, about 45 min later, I immediately came to the coffee shop and let them know that it was the wrong order and asked very nicely if they could remake it for me. Immediately the cashier got rude and was saying ābecause you left with it for an hour that she could only charge me for a new one.ā Mind you the coffee was still full. I explained the situation and apologized there was a mixup but just wanted to get the drink exchanged for, even if it was a smaller version. She proceeded to berate me and say āno other place would replace an order after you left with it.ā I replied, thatās simply not true because there are many places that would exchange/replace an order for a customer, especially small businesses as they strive on retaining their customers and gaining more through word-of-mouth of an amazing experience. Iām sure we have all had an experience where we needed an order exchanged at some point or another. Both girls got a huge attitude with me and continued to argue with me the entire time they remade the coffee I had to REPAY them for. Extremely disappointed with this placeās customer service and neither I or my family and friends will ever come back. 0 stars.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a very frequent customer, but recently, for the past month or so, the Wi-Fi never works. I would go in there and buy several drinks and a pastry while working, but this is no longer the case. Iāve asked staff about it, and they always say just try again. I always try again, but it never works upon logging in and out.
The staff is friendly, for the most part, but they are LOUD and obnoxious when associating with their coworkers. I believe theyāre very immature, as most of the topics they discuss are inappropriate for workplace settings. You will also notice that staff members that are off-duty will come in to talk with their coworkers. This is so annoying because again, they talk about inappropriate topics and are loud. Iām not being dramatic here, they are very very loud.
Finally, since Iām on a rant now, I would like to point out that they do have a drink/order requirement while using their space. Iāve noticed countless customers not purchasing anything and simply taking up valuable space for paying guests. This is especially noticeable with the large amount of homeless people that they allow to cause disturbances. I would not have a problem with this if said guests did not enter by screaming something or disturbing me while working (and asking me for money). Speaking of the disturbances, I think the instruments should be refrained from use unless the person using them knows how to play. Iāve seen too many customers come in and use the floor as a place to practice...
Ā Ā Ā Read more18 yr customer, the coffee is solid and thereās an amazing amount of control to the flow of the vibe. When itās crowded it is a much higher energy and when it not it is like living in a lowfi video, A+.
The baked goods are amazing when they are fresh but seem to regularly be kept too long, to be fair I think something happening in the case is drying them out too quickly.
They paired down the kitchen menu several years back, and I get it. I did prefer the old menu. The baked goods are good for some cravings, rich creams, gooey chocolates, and quiche. The kitchen is mostly some light bites akin to Panera. If Iām hungry enough for lunch I get fast food, eat in the parking lot and then come in. Used to be a chiller environment about outside food; and again I get it, but sometimes I just canāt properly feed my body/brain with the protein/veggie options present.
I miss the old 3-4 cup clear teapots. I know logistically there were some problems with them, but vibe wise they really were epic; meditative almost when you needed to do some good thinking. The white pots are fine; if youāre camping out for an afternoon, plan several trips to the front to refuel.
I have used the coffee house as a social hub for a long time; unfortunately the continued use of a pejorative term in the name means a cringed moment of grace for the attachment to the buildingās history. I imagine changing a great businessās name after 20+ yrs...
