Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Tyler

A few nights ago I wanted a hot sandwich and a hot bowl of soup. Got there at 7:40 pm. I ordered 2 sandwiches on croissant and 2 soups. We sat at our table and she brings my "bag". Confused I said "to go order?" and she replied " Didn't you say that as she walked away. The sandwiches were cold so I went to the counter and informed her very kindly. She informed me they were suppose to be cold. I told her mine were always hot and she stated her above comment. I then told her I had never had a cold one and then she said all of the croissants are served cold. I told her that's all I get is the croissants and they are never cold. Then she yells looking over her shoulder " is the toaster still on?' No one answered that I could hear so she takes our food to the back. When I got it back the tops were warm but the bottom was still cold. I hesitated to approach her because she wasn't the friendliest. The cook also gave me a smirk when I had complained it was cold in the first place so now do I really want her handling my food again. I also find it hard to believe the crook was dumb enough to just toast the top so with her smirk I imagined it was done intentionally. Throughout all of this I smiled and I fully understand employees as I own a company. The cashier mumbled something back to me and seemed annoyed which in turn annoyed me so I regretfully said " Well, how dumb is that?" referring to the toasting one side of our croissants. As a restaurant being brand new my expectations are high because I was there during the grand opening as well as after and I tried two different chicken salads. Open the spicy cheese chicken and delicious dill. The spicy cheese had too much cheese not enough chicken and the dill was dry and not enough moisture in it. The taste was just ok nothing wow. It was crowded both times I went so it is popular but they are asking a lot of money for their food in my view. For me I would go to this place once in a while. It's not a hip place for teenagers or young adults to hang out. I have seen older folks and mothers and children eating. I do like how they have different varieties of chicken options but the flavor needs to be improved.

I have tried 4 different kinds of chicken salads that they offer and none of them are good. I do not understand because there is hardly any good flavor in any of them. Am I the only one noticing this? I just do not get it. Anyways, when you try to tell them that there is something not right with it they ignore it or better yet make you think you're the problem. As a Chef my palette is telling me it's not good. Why do I keep going back? I thought for a chance a different one would be different but nope there is no wow factor. So sad. I tried to tell them about it a couple of times but if they do not want to listen then I did what I could. I eat there several times, weekly, as I love the Chicken Salad Melt Sandwich, served with your choice side. I love my Fresh fruit. Then I get a Cranberry Kelli Chicken Salad, 8 oz. container, to-go! Handy to have when you need a quick protein pick-me-up, late afternoon or evening! Excellent food, reminds me of my Mom's Homemade Chicken Salad. Always friendly service, they know me by my first name, & good value for the money. A great place to take guests, &. have a quick meeting. My lady friends love eating/meeting there! Rest rooms always clean, tables turned & cleaned quickly. A great back room that you can reserve to hold a working lunch or meetings there. The sweetest staff works there.
