I love California pizza kitchen's food so I was extremely disappointed with the staff at this establishment. They were incredibly rude and not accommodating for me and my friend who had strollers. It was 1:30 in the afternoon so there were hardly any other customers but the staff refused to allow us to bring in our strollers. They said it was policy which I understand but it would've taken up more room to leave our strollers at the front of the restaurant and then take everything out of our strollers and still use two extra chairs at a four-person table for all of our items rather than seating the two of us at the same four person table and moving two chairs and letting us bring our strollers with us. We are both brand new moms - we have a two and three month old. We did not want to leave our brand new 600.00 strollers with someone who didnt seem too concerend about keeping an eye on them. Not only were they not accommodating they were literally laughing at us. They must have been thinking we were ridiculous for wanting to keep our items with us. We were shocked at how rude they were being to us and they literally laughed out loud at us as we left saying that we were going to find somewhere else to eat. They have lost our business for sure. I am posting the review and we are making sure to pass the news around. I am an excellent customer and have worked in food service myself. I do not ask for much. I am constantly writing postitve reviews for places with wondeful service (we ended up going to shake shack in the mall and they were super accomodating despite having a much smaller seating area - you can see my positive review on their site). I almost never write a negative review but the way the staff (a hostess and a manager) treated us was appalling and I felt like I needed to let other people know how they may be treated at this location. Read moreTRASH!!! I came here because my daughter really wanted pizza while we were visiting and in the mall… the food was ok but the service??? HORRIBLE!!! The manager Jessica, she was real unapologetic about the service rendered towards me and daughter from the waiter named David! Not only did I complain but also the table behind me. I only saw my waiter 2xs. Those 2xs were to order our drinks and to give us our drinks. After that never seen him again and I noticed he ditched us to cater this large party that came in wayyyy after. Idk who the Asian lady was that brought out our food, but she just slid it on the table and went about her way. By this time my daughter and I were def due for a refill on drinks, but of course how would we have got that if our waiter never returned to us. He didn’t even check on us after the food was delivered or anything. Matter fact he never returned to none of his tables.
Meanwhile my daughter is choking on the dry pizza and nothing to drink it down with. Luckily I had some water left and let her have it, thinking David would return. NOTHING!!! After 40mins of waiting, I asked the hostess for the manager because now I’m livid due to no customer service, no common courtesy, and no bill. When Ms. JESSICA arrived, I explained to her the situation and how I felt. I didn’t get any empathy/apology on behalf of the service we received. In fact, she looked as if she didn’t care and the only responses i got was “ok” to everything I said. How nonchalant and non-caring is that?!?!? I guess she thought taking the food off the bill would suffice, but I didnt care about none of that. I was ready to walk out and leave them with the bill honestly.

Read moreThe food was good, just like every CPK. It's what keeps us coming back! The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was fun. The service was just OK. Our server wasn't very warm or engaging. She seemed a bit bothered, but she got everything correct and refilled our drinks. It could have just been an off day, and it didn't ruin our visit. It was just not what we were accustomed to from CPK staff.
The hostess, however, was rude! She wasn't rude to us, but she wasn't friendly. She was very rude to another customer who was dining alone. She tried to seat the customer at a table that was very small for the customer's size and was also in a busy walkway. The customer politely asked if she could sit at another, close by table, and the hostess said it wasn't available, even though no one was sitting there. So the customer asked for another table on the other side of the restaurant, and the hostest suggested she just sit at the tiny table she was standing at. The customer was clearly getting uncomfortable and embarrassed and pointed out a third table that she would prefer. The hostess finally relented, but she was not happy about it. Luckily, the customer's server jumped in and was extra friendly and made her feel welcome and comfortable. It was an uncomfortable situation to watch. The hostess should have been more intuitive and sensitive when seating someone of larger size and someone who was sitting alone.
