DO NOT SHOP THIS PLACE!!
THERE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A WAY TO LEAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE STARS!! I cannot express strongly enough how bad this place and all its employees are at customer service. I placed this order on January 1st 2025. I drove over an hour and a half to get to this place as this was the closest Hydeline dealer to me. It started badly as when I called and asked if they had the item I was looking for in stock I was told “Yes we do”….They did not! The older salesperson I dealt with said he had something “comparable” Again….NOT ideal as I’m spending over 2K on a couch I’ve not seen or sat on. I was told to get the color I wanted required a special order. I agreed despite being told it was going to take up to 14 weeks. Again I agreed. Then although I advised him it was free delivery per Hydeline’s website he tried to charge me over $100 for delivery. I guess he was hoping I’d not notice he slipped this in. I DID! I told him it was supposed to be free. He said it was a mistake and he forgot. So it was ordered. THREE full months went by with ZERO calls or emails to advise of the status of the sofa. I called Timeless Living and spoke to Mary I told her I had heard nothing regarding my sofa. She told me she would look into it and call me back. SHE DID NOT. I called a few days later and got Mary again. She now claims still waiting to find out status. She claims she was going to call back. SHE DID NOT. I called the following week got a man claiming to be the owner. Omar. Apparently he is the owner per BBB. But more on that later. I told Omar I was more then a bit irked at the run around from Mary and that I am out over $2100 and no sofa. He apologizes for Mary’s ineptitude and says he’s going to look into this tomorrow and call me back. SPOILER ALERT….NO CALL BACK! I called Timeless Living back a few days later and get Jackie I ask for Omar. She claims he’s not in but will be in by 5:30-6pm. I called Timeless back at 5:55pm and get Mary who then proceeds to tell me Omar has left for the day and she will take a message. I tell her that’s very strange as I called earlier and was told we wasn’t due in until 5:30-6pm and it’s now 5:55 and she’s claiming he’s already left for the day? That’s the shortest work day ever! Clearly he and his associates are just lying and trying to cover their asses. At this point I’m done dealing with Omar and the entire staff at Timeless Living. I call Hydeline and speak to a Viviana and ask her the status. She has no clue she tells me she has to call the store and will call me back. I have no more time to sit around and take time from my work so I call back after an hour. She advised me that they were never paid by Timeless Living for the item so my “special order” was never built! And to add insult to injury IF I wanted to deal with them and get another I cannot as thanks to the current tariffs Hydeline claims they are not taking any special orders. So after 14 months I’m out $2100 and no sofa. I call back to Timeless Living and get Mary AGAIN and I advise her I’m filing a dispute with my bank and speaking to their fraud department to get my money back and I plan to contact the BBB and write this review. When looking at the BBB report on Timeless Living they get a solid F! I’ve attached screenshots so hopefully no one else falls for their scam. The owners name Omar Alwan is clearly on there and that’s who I had the displeasure of dealing with so PLEASE for your own good avoid these guys AND Hydeline as neither have done anything but point the finger at each other. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews particularly the more recent reviews. They all mention the usual suspects and how poor the delivery drivers are and how many have not received their items after several...
Read moreI purchased a couple of pieces of furniture from this store, believing that their location in Tysons Corner would reflect their claim of offering “luxury” service. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The manager, Mohammed, is extremely disrespectful—not only to customers but also to his own employees. I was truly shocked at how he ordered them around in a demeaning manner, literally like dogs!
When I visited the store, both the manager and the employees verbally assured me that I could expect delivery WITHIN 4-6 weeks and that I would only be charged after the furniture was delivered. However, weeks later, they pointed to fine print in their contract, which contradicted these verbal assurances. When I questioned them about this discrepancy, they dismissed my concerns and claimed that their delivery timeline was only an “estimate.” To quote Mohammed directly: “…you should have known better than to place an order days before December.” This felt like an outright scam. The initially professional service from the employees did not match the horrendous behavior from the manager later on.
The furniture quality is passable at best. I later discovered that their products are sourced from Ashley Furniture or similar large warehouses, so you could save yourself the hassle and just purchase directly from those companies. Unless you want to be chasing this store for updates on your order, I strongly recommend avoiding Timeless Living. Throughout the process, I was the one initiating contact to get updates on my furniture; not once did they reach out to me without prompting. Their internal communication is so poor that, when I inquired about my order status, they accused me of being mistaken and even claimed the furniture had already been delivered—when, in reality, it hadn’t, weeks after my purchase.
A little after the 6-week mark, I received a call from the Timeless Living warehouse stating that the sofa I ordered failed some quality inspection and that they didn’t have a replacement available. When I followed up with Timeless Living, they claimed they were unaware of what was happening at their own warehouse! I have email correspondence and recorded (with permission) phone calls to confirm this. When I expressed my frustration, the manager dismissively told me, “Just because a company makes a mistake doesn’t mean you get to just go cancel the order.” This wasn’t a single mistake—it was a series of errors spanning weeks. I have never been spoken to so rudely by a business rep.
I consider myself a patient person and always approached the staff with mutual respect throughout this ordeal. One of the customer service reps I spoke with over the phone and the final delivery men were very professional. However, the manager’s rudeness and lack of accountability are deeply disappointing.
Timeless Living has truly missed the mark. Based on other reviews, they seem to perform well with customers in the store but essentially scam them after purchase. I want to make sure no one else goes through the same...
Read moreAvoid this store. You can do much better at a smaller store or online! Poor customer service. If I could give no stars, I would. My was initially impressed by this store so much so that we came back 2 hours from Virginia to purchase a bed. The sales associate that we worked with on our first visit Ashikur was very helpful and customer service oriented. We knew that we could get the bed online for cheaper but preferred to deal with a local company so we wanted to give them a chance first. Our second visit was far from great. No one even came to help us when we entered the store. The sales associate set at the front at the desk on his phone. When we approached him to inquire about pricing of the bed, we asked if there was any wiggle room on the delivery fees because online pricing was much cheaper than in store. He proceeded to tell us to prove it by showing him which we did. Once he saw the price difference he then called over the manger for discussion and this is where the visit took a turn. The manager was very rude and dismissive, didn’t even greet us to ask what we need and proceeded to tell us that the price was the price and if we could get it cheaper somewhere else then do it…he then proceeds to walk off with no other commentary. Of course we definitely aren’t buying anything at this point. As we stand at the entrance of the store to go out, the manager is now coming into the store with a piece of furniture, does not say excuse me or one word but proceeds to bump into my mother in law with the furniture. Only after we showed that we were offended, did he say sorry with a smirk. We did approach him to let him know that we would never return to the store or recommend it to anyone for furniture. Truly upsetting. Businesses want our money but don’t want to treat the customers with any...
