You don't have to be an Encanto superfan to appreciate how amazing this is -- but if you have one in your life, you absolutely must take them to this experience! Once the magic door opens, you are immediately immersed into the streets of Colombia - the colors, the lighting, the music. You are greeted at the Madrigal's door and warmly welcomed with the opening song from Encanto - the performers... I can't say enough amazing things about them! Their talents cannot go unmentioned. They are cheerful and can all sing and dance and play music as if they came right out of the film. Once you're welcomed into casita, children can explore at their own pace or you can follow the performers as they enter each room and tell stories, play games, and sing songs. I was surprised that my child wanted to follow along rather than play on all the slides and structures and games within - but again, the actors were amazing and they sing all the songs from Encanto wonderfully. You are truly immersed into Mirabel's world while having fun, singing and dancing. We added the miracle candle to our experience because we read it unlocked extra magic within and while this was cool, it wasn't necessary to make your experience better. There were only 3 special features inside and the performers were able to make them happen with their own candles. Also, since they give it to you before you enter, you then have to carry it around the whole time - my child and I kept passing it back and forth so he could play but then I was walking around holding it. I would say this isn't something to spend extra money on since the performers will show off the features it provides while you're inside. Look - Disney World/Land doesn't even have anything like this. If you have someone in your life who loves Encanto, make it a point to visit this amazing experience. You are guaranteed to be entertained for the entire hour you're there (we didn't want to leave!). I'd say this experience is best loved by kiddos 3-7, given the size of the slides to ride and other little kids running around. Upon exit you are asked if you'd like to take a photo together and they will superimpose you into images from the scene which you can then get as a digital download. You're back in the area you started just outside casita, and can see lots of exclusive merchandise to purchase. We walked out with a glowing Bruno vision puzzle and I forgot to grab the awesome casita photo frame for our family photo. My son has been asking when we can go back! It's a 2-hour drive for us but might just be worth it to visit again. Anyone who loves Encanto should get to experience the real-life casita! Since this CAMP is located inside the mall, you can make the most of your visit. Check it out...
Read moreThe Bluey meet and greet here was like what I expected. My initial appointment was 11:45 but rebooked because they had overbooked that time slot. That should’ve been my first indication that this event was poorly organized. When I arrived we were all crammed into a break room-sized area. It was obvious the number of guests accompanying was not accounted for. Some familys brought 2 or more people. The characters didn’t enter the room until about 12:21. By then, a second group of people came entered the room. (The photo shows who was in front of me but not the entire room). Im guessing their time was 12:15. The counselor did not do a great job of directing everyone in an appropriate manner, erring on the side of rudeness-yelling through a microphone multiple times, “don’t block the door.” In the very least, it would’ve been much more professional to let everyone know another group would be coming in, so we’d be aware and make space. The whole situation was stressful and anxiety inducing. I couldnt get out fast enough. By the time it was our turn, I was in no mood to join my birthday girl in her photo. My frustration would’ve shown on my face so I had her take the photo alone so she could enjoy the moment. To add insult to injury, there were so many people in the room, my daughter couldn’t hear me encouraging her to smile when it was time for her photo to be taken by another counselor. She didnt know where to look because there was so much going on she was overwhelmed and overstimulated. We came to Camp one time before with my sister for the Encanto experience and loved it. Had this been my first experience, I would never return to this location. I couldn’t be more dissatisfied. It was my daughter’s birthday and this did not feel like the special experience I was hoping it would be. I suggest they limit the experience to smaller groups or limit the number of people that can accompany a child because it was obvious this was not taken into consideration. Also, this all occurred on a Saturday which may have contributed to the commotion. But ultimately I think they have to do a better job of making sure everyone is in and out based on their scheduled time. It was obvious the characters were...
Read moreThis was such a fun interactive experience! My girls really enjoyed being able to play, sing and dance with the characters from one of their favorite Disney movies. The Casa Mardrigal did not disappoint… the rooms and the courtyard were just like how they appeared in the movie. Vibrant in color with a lot of attention to detail, which was very exciting. In addition to the fabulous setup, they had many themed activities… like a scavenger hunt with Bruno, story time and dancing with Maribel, and singing songs from encanto the with the entire cast. CAMP encanto really kept the kids intrigued and excited. The encanto gift shop also included cool things like face painting, Colombian jewelry, and personalized embroidered encanto items. The employees at CAMP encanto deserve their own recognition. Two days prior to us coming, we had tickets for 7pm, which is the last time slot. We were stuck in the parking garage because my daughter had an allergic reaction and threw up everywhere. Once we got her together we went in to see what we could do about rescheduling. My daughter was devastated that she couldn’t go behind the secret door b/c by that time it was too late. They were very sweet about it and reassured her that she could come back, and allowed her to explore part of an area that wasn’t occupied and gave her Encanto stickers. The next day I spoke to customer service and we were booked to come back the following day. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted with a welcoming hello and you’re immediately getting assistance with wrist bands for entry to Encanto. Everyone was so kind and attentive… even the security guards were helping with scavenger hunt clues. They did a great job at keeping the children engaged. Their way of gathering everyone in one spot to prepare the current group to exit and the next group to enter was seamless. This was a 10 out of 10 and we will be returning in the...
