El Trebol Lounge — Restaurant in Union City

We went on a Friday night on a whim because the place looked “hoppin” and we were starving. Bad choice. Our cocktails were watered down (little to no alcohol) and the bistec was very dry. The $15-20 prices demand better food quality! No flavor, not spicy, VERY bland, almost like they were counting on us being drunk when we ate it for it to appear better. LOL The food and drinks came relatively quickly but we did end up waiting 20 mins to get our check which was not fun.

We couldn’t hear ourselves talk, our table was constantly getting bumped into by someone’s butt scooting by and we had to hold on to drinks so they didn’t fall. The atmosphere was very drunk, drunk men hitting on and touching/kissing a waitress (EW) and a drunk woman getting up to dance next to her table.

Wish it was a better experience, but it sucked. Maybe a great party place, if there was a more space for a dance floor...

Never ever ever order any sort of mixed drink at this place, not that a simple jack and coke is a mixed drink. The supposed bartended served it Ina high ball glass which is standard, literally half way. I asked where the rest of my drink was and she looked at me like I had three heads.. $12 for half a jack and water coke! Never ever ever, rude rude rude, only place this place is good for is buckets of beer and loud...

Great place. Went there for Latin rock music. The space is not large, but decently organized. Food is definitely good. Got bistec & churasco, both of which came up excellent. Service was good as well. They should offer regular water with the meals...and not charge ppl $5 for bottled water. Alcoholic drinks were well...
