Noches de Colombia — Restaurant in Union City

UPDATE: TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2023, 5:53PM: Since I have not set foot in this Noches de Colombia restaurant in more than ten years, I have no idea.

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2022, 9:25PM: The last time I visited this Noches de Colombia was more than ten years ago. The service I received was very poor, and have not re-entered it since.

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 2022: Truth be told, I have not visited this Noches de Colombia in a while. However, I did pass by recently and yes, wear a mask unless you are eating or drinking, and tip the servers well, especially when they give you very good service. Thank you.

This is one of the best Colombian restaurants in Union City, New Jersey. I AM so very beyond long overdue to dine in when I visit, but make no mistake, this restaurant--weekday, weeknight, weekend, Holiday--is almost at capacity. THAT is how popular it is. I ordered dinner for my family through their website. At 5:55 pm the email confirmation came through. The notice has mentioned the delivery time was 60 minutes. At around 7:15 the food hadn’t arrived. Usually not a huge deal since we anticipated an hour anyway but since we had an elderly relative, pregnant woman, and hungry 4 year old, we decided to call and get an update on our order. We were told the delivery driver left already and it should be arriving any moment. At 7:35 the food still hadn’t come, so we called again. This time the lady said “the order just came through”. This means the food wasn’t even made yet. We double checked the email confirmation and our credit card (which had already been charged). Absolute incompetent trash of a staff no help whatsoever had ordered by phone a delivery. I had to repeat my order 3 times then being told that the order would be dropped off in 40 or less minutes meanwhile the whole time she was joking around with her friends. Then after an hour I called again at 8:00pm after calling at 7:00pm I was told that the order that was meant to be delivered was already paid for, I told her that no it wasn’t because I had not received anything she then said it was a mistake and that it would be taken care of but after 2 more dame hours nothing I call again for the 3rd time and was told by the manager that the order was done and take early by someone else.
