Usually have at least decent service, but this time was very disappointing. Ordered 2 small pizzas on app. App said it would be ready at 445. Got there around then and was told it would be a few more minutes, no big deal. They did seem decently busy. After 40min, hostesses had seen me waiting around for far to long and said nothing, so I went back up to counter and asked about my order. Hostess looked at the compute and said, it says it will be ready at 445.....I said it's 530. She then goes back to the kitchen, comes back and says something about them being out of traditional crust, but now it's going in the oven. Not sure if this was some made up excuse, but if not, it 100% should have been mentioned the moment I first got there. 15min later, got the 2 pizzas, there was no attempt at service recovery, not even an apology, let alone coupon or comped item/meal offered. Very sub par customer...
Read moreThis is the 4th (fourth) time they screwed up my order by not giving an extra cup of sauce with my hoagy. It's a simple request, and very annoying. I even reiterated that I wanted an extra cup of sauce then verified at the end of the order I had one coming. It was even on the receipt. Forgetting one or two times, it happens. BUT FOUR TIMES? The hoagy just isn't the same without a side of sauce. A credit for a hoagy doesn't mean squat when their going to jack it up again and it also means I don't enjoy a meal that I paid for. Their attention to detail stinks like a pig farm... UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE So, less than a week later they screw up again five times in a row... No French fries came with my order, I ordered a side of ranch (for the fries I didn't get) and they put THE ranch on my hoagy! Does "I'd like a side of ranch" sound like "I'd like ranch on my haogy"?

Read moreWhile this isn’t the LaRosa’s of my youth (RIP Mt. Carmel Store) the Eastgate location is the closest to my home, and is the one we choose to patronize. If you grew up in Concinnati, there is nothing I can tell you about the food. It’s tremendous, and god-willing it always will be. But for the uninitiated - the pizza, hoagies, pasta, fries and even the salads are all winners.
The bar is surprisingly good, I would not expect the lineup of Craft beers they offer - but if alcohol isn’t your jam, the Eastgate location has a Coke Freestyle machine, which means you can have a Lime root beer if that’s what does it for you.
The staff is always friendly, and if you happen to get the big guy with white hair as your server he will take care if you, he is one of the best. The store including the bathrooms are always clean.
