I wanted to enjoy an Italian meal last night. I went to Maggiano’s Little Italy in King of Prussia. I was there about 3!months ago during Proton Bean Radiation Therapy. The manager. Amanda remembered me which speaks volumes on the customercentric care they exhibit. Amanda provided me with an appetizer, I ordered the Truffle & Honey Whipped Ricotta which also came with a tomato topping so delicious I wish I had more. What an amazing way to start the meal. For my entree I ordered what I was craving; Chicken Piccata. Perfectly cooked chicken; could have used more white wine and lemon in the sauce. It was okay as Inhad some lemon wedges and took care of it. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, I sat at the bar, food and the few people I got to talk with. The bartender, E (her name begins with E), suggested their Chocolate Layer Cake for dessert and she said I’ll add a scoop of ice cream. How could I say no to that offer. This slice was GIGANTIC, see the pics! I took my time and finished the entire piece all to comply with doctors orders; eat 3,000 Cal a day. There were to older gentleman next to me with a grandson I think and they said that they did not think I would be able to finish that slice. All in all it was a delightful evening out for dinner cared and looked over the the Manager Amanda as a VIP. This family restaurant is a 5 Star Jem awaiting your reservation. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maggiano's for the first time, and it truly exceeded my expectations. While the prices were comparable to those at Olive Garden, the quality of the food was exceptional. The portions were incredibly generous, evoking the comforting essence of homemade meals. I must mention that the fried mozzarella was absolutely divine, leaving my taste buds craving for more. For our dining experience, we opted for Marco's Meal for Two, priced at around $42.95 (or thereabouts). With numerous options available, we made excellent choices with the sausage baked ziti and the renowned Rigatoni D. The service was efficient, and our food arrived promptly. Although initially served the wrong ziti, the staff quickly rectified the mistake without any prompt from me. Their attentiveness was truly commendable. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the chocolate cake, which surpassed all my expectations. As someone who isn't typically fond of chocolate cake, I found it to be the best I've ever tasted. It was an absolute delight for my palate. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Maggiano's for anyone seeking a truly satisfying Italian dining experience. It has become my new go-to restaurant, replacing Olive Garden. Furthermore, the ambiance at Maggiano's is reminiscent of old-style Italian eateries, complete with charming red checked tablecloths and a lovely touch of authenticity with parmesan, oil, salt, and pepper provided on each table alongside the fresh, warm bread.

I keep coming back to The Grand Chicken Parmesan because it is simple but done differently enough that it sticks with you. It comes as a chicken breast that is breaded, juicy inside and golden outside, topped with melted mozzarella and fresh basil, finished with parmesan, and served with rigatoni in marinara. Everything feels like it was put together with some care, making a very familiar dish stand out. The parmesan crust gives a subtle salty crunch that plays against the softness of the mozzarella. The rigatoni in marinara is not just a filler, it soaks up the sauce and balances the richness of the chicken, adding another layer to the meal. At home my version of chicken parm is a lot more basic. I coat the chicken in flour, egg, and breadcrumb, pan fry it, then top it with shredded mozzarella and jarred sauce. The flavor is fine but it never has that depth or freshness, especially since I usually skip the basil and just use whatever cheese I have on hand. The difference is clear. Mine is quick and comforting while Maggiano’s feels layered and richer, with fresher ingredients and a more intentional presentation. It is the kind of dish that makes you rethink a classic and shows how much better it can be when every part is done thoughtfully.

We are so disappointed. Maggianos used to be a great place we went to frequently with our family. They used to offer an excellent value for the family style meal and the food and service was solid. We had a terrible experience there this past Sunday for dinner. The waitress was unfriendly, bordering on rude. She rushed us to order before I even got a chance to look at the menu. Since they raised to price of the famly meal to a whopping $53 per person, we had sticker shock. Therefore, we decided to order a la carte from the budget menu. Well, after we placed our order, we never saw our waitress again during the meal. Because she never came back to check on us, we had to try to beg the other people who delivered our salads and main entrees for drink refills. Unfortunately, those begging efforts were fruitless. We each had ONE soda and then nothing. Although we repeatedly asked for refills, none ever arrived. They just simply refused to give us anything to drink. They did not even give us water. We were forced to eat the overly salted and very mediocre food with nothing to drink. It was horrible. We were so thirsty. It seems that they have a system where runners deliver the food instead of your wait person. But, those runners absolutely refuse to bring you anything additional, not even water. At the end of the mediocre meal we were all totally dehydrated. To add insult to injury, the waitress came by and threw a FILTHY electronic device on the table and said to figure out the bill on it. Firstly, I don't work for free. Secondly, those devices are disgustingly unsanitary, covered with germs, fingerprints, dirt, and food. What an INSULT! When I go out to dinner at a price point of $50+ per person (which it STILL turned out to be, BTW, even when ordering from the "budget" menu,) I expect the wait person to assist with the bill by taking our cards and splitting them for us. Everyone at my table agreed that since don't work for free, we were not going to touch the filthy dirty electronic device. I handed the device to the waitress and said, "We're not doing this. Firstly, it is very unsanitary. Secondly, we're going to split it five ways, so you can just take our cards and split it for us." She stared at me and said "no, you scroll through and figure out how to split it up." I said, "No. YOU take it and figure it out." Finally although she was very pissed off, she took the device and our cards and stormed off in a huff. When she returned, I asked her if they had charged us for the multiple drinks that we had begged for that we had never gotten. She replied in a nasty tone, "You could have just scrolled through and seen what the charges were." At the end of this catastrophe, we were all out over $60 per person for pretty bad food, nothing to drink, and horrible service. Goodbye Maggianos. I won't...

I can see having A bad service experience ONE time. Last year we had a BDay celebration and after waiting for our food, all these family plates started to come out. We ordered individual meals not family. When we got a manager over he looked at the order and said apparently the runners mixed up our table (37) with someone else (73) So we waited for all the food to be cleared and our orders found or remade. This year we had the same 7 members for her birthday and this was her restaurant of choice. Granted she was 45 minutes late which threw EVERYTHING off. We were seated and waiting fer her. The waiter asked if we we wanted to order APS and we said we would wait a bit more. When she got there we called the waiter over We were ready to order everything. But he asked if we wanted drinks and took drink orders and left Then did the same with APs We told him we were ready to order our dinners but he left. After sitting 1 1/2 hours we were finally able to order dinner. We all put in orders and then brought out. Except for the guy sitting next to me who was still waiting for his chicken. While we were waiting, I asked the waiter for some more water. We all had tap water glasses in front of us and there were the refill pitchers a yard from us. He had never been around to fill anyone's water glass. Instead he brings out an open bottle of the premium water and sets the bottle in front me ($6.50 a bottle BTW) Since I wasnt drinking alcohol I just decided to not say anything. My friend however is still waiting for his chicken. So he asks for the manager. Manager comes over and is told how the evening is going that the Chicken Picatta has still not made the table. The table next to us says "Oh we ordered 2 of them and they brought out 3. They told us just to keep it" Then without asking, a 2nd bottle of water is brought out and it is open, So while we are dealing with the missing meal, I tell him this is the manager and that all I asked for was my water glass to be filled and now Im paying for 2 premium watres. He says he will take care of it and does my friend want anything else or at least get an order to go. He even says I insist. So my friend gets dinner to go. The manager did take the water off and we assumed the chicken and comped us desert. Which we brought a birthday cake but whatever. We get the bill and are checking to see that everything that should have been taken off the bill was taken off. AND right there is the Chicken Picatta. My friend so disgusted at this point - remember he NEVER got to eat, decides not to say anything and just wants to get out so that he can go to McDonalds and get SOMETHING to eat. So 2 strikes over 2 years. We wont be back...

Really disappointing. The new CEO made changes that will guarantee we won’t be back. The portion sizes were not equivalent to the cost for the meal. Things like the mozzarella appetizer used to be 4 large pieces smothered in marinara. Now it is 3 small cheese sticks (the size of places like chili’s) and marinara on side so the mozzarella was cold and not as melty as previously, the marinara helped keep it warm. And it did not feed 2 people at our table of 5 for an appetizer that cost nearly 20$. 3 small pieces for 20$ is ridiculous. literally chilis and cheaper restaurants give same or better quality and more of it. The family style dinner packages are now 50$ a person! And you get what is listed, no changes or picking from a selection. It used to be a flat rate and include picking several items from a list of selection. Last year we paid 145$ for 6-8 people family style. And picked things we knew we all enjoyed. Not an option now and insanely expensive. It’s cheaper to buy individual meals now than family style which was more cost effective before. Also a big thing that was disappointing was the removal of the take away dishes you can buy for a meal later at home. It was a trademark and one many people enjoyed. I read about why the option was removed, and it was “too much work” according to the new CEO and instead he invested the money into his 10 million dollar sign on bonus and “reinvesting into other things at the restaurants” such as murder mystery dinners. Which honestly isn’t really a big appeal. I asked our server and he said it’s not really any more busy in those nights and everyone ask about take away dinners. Also he said it affects the servers tips and gratuity because take away add ons to many of the patrons meals would add 30+ more dollars to a check and so their tip was bigger or gratuity would be automatically added depending on part number/cost. And that money “saved” sure wasn’t’ reinvested in the food because the mozzarella wasn’t the only disappointing dish we had that night. Service was great. But the new policy’s and business plans and changes are terrible. We won’t be going back and we aren’t the only ones who have found these new changes horrible. Many people reviews I’ve see online or friends we’ve chatted with say the same thing. Not even the servers like the changes it seems. Hope the new CEO with a garbage business plan who doesn’t understand what people liked about Maggiano's was worth it. We won’t...
