Located down some steps from a main drag. Good signage. Came here cause i was hangry. It’s an old school looking place, the kind that looks like it could undergo renovations but doesn’t need to due to a solid reputation. You know the type. They have a large variety of sandwiches and breads. You can pick from the list or make your own from scratch. I got the pulled pork and it was SO tasty. It was really rich though. My partner got the roasted chicken (the one with the pesto). It was even better. The sandwiches are pretty big actually, we regret not having shared one. I found the pork super rich and couldn’t finish it but if you’re wanting a solid pulled pork sandwich this would fulfil that craving. They had the most AMAZING coleslaw I’ve ever had though. Ever. I really was tempted to get some of the delicious looking baked goods too, however there were other dessert places i wanted to check out. Staff were quick and efficient. You can tell they see a lot of customer volume and hustle to accommodate this. It’s a big crowded and hot and stuffy. Otherwise I would absolutely return. If you’re a sandwich lover, you’ll love this. Also priced accordingly for the size and quality of food you get.

Joe's Famous Deli and Homemade Ice Cream is located on Bridge Street in the heart of Vail Village. Their menu includes breakfast items, grilled sandwiches, cold sandwiches, hot drinks and other items. FYI - you'll need to descend a flight of stairs to reach the front entrance from street level. My go-to sandwich is usually a Reuben so Joe's Famous Ruben Sandwich was an obvious choice for me, but I was quite disappointed in their rendition. The sandwich lacked sauce and flavor and was average at best. I could only finish half of it, and it actually tasted better when I reheated the leftovers in the microwave the next day. My daughter did however enjoy their child meal deal which included a sandwich and homemade ice cream. Service wasn't overly friendly either but was efficient. Joe's is a good spot to duck into when it's snowing outside and you need to get out of the cold and grab a quick bite. I'd recommend asking the staff for their recommendation if you visit since the reviews are mixed or consider other local dining options.

Terrible service, false advertisement, the manager was very rude. He doesn’t care to be polite or professional . I guess bc he says his been working there for 20 years. They advertised items in the menu that can’t be made because they decided to turn the machine off. I little more respect from them would have been appreciated. Then they were by the register talking about me wanting the item that was advertised. Saying I was crazy. My 15 year old daughter even said they were very rude. I’ve also been going there for 10 years and today was the first time I had a problem. I give one star bc i can’t give 0 And it says “EXCEPT “ the egg sandwich. Manager decided to turn machines off because it’s too hot. I’ll like to have a job that I don’t show up because it’s too hot to work. Just saying. And I ordered avocado and this how much they put, really!! One tiny piece. Wow. But they do charge you for it.

My 3RD time in Vail and just had the worst food experience I've ever had there. In fact, the ONLY, bad food experience. I saw a Philly Cheese steak on the menu and thought awesome! The description was fine. Then I saw the gal cut some kInd of bread that looked like Focaccia, but they had a fresh bread sitting right there. Philly's dont come on Focaccia bread!! I stopped her before she put anything on the bread and asked if she could change it? She says yes, but then as she's turning around I get the head shake and rolled eyes. What? I just overpaid for a sandwich and tipped you 15 percent...and that's the attitude? I would have walked out right then if I hadn't already paid for the food. So, we take the sandwich outside to eat. It was THE worst Philly I've ever had. And I've had many. No seasons at all. Red peppers instead of green (or a mix). The meat wasn't cooked with the peppers or onions. We literally took two bites and through out the entire sandwich...and went to get better food. Very disappointed in the service and the food. Will...
