Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Waconia

Original review (update below): This Jimmy John's food is good, but 7/10 times, it takes over an hour to get my food (the last order I made took over TWO HOURS to get delivered and when I called, they told me they were "really busy".) I get that some times are busier than others, but when your gimmick is "freaky fast" and I live less than a mile from your store, I expect my delivery to take less than an hour.

I'm not sure if this falls on management understaffing them or the workers just being slow, but every time I do order from them, I have to make sure that I don't have any plans at all in the evening.

Edit 2/23/2021: Ownership reached out to me related to my concerns above. They told me it was lack of staffing, which I have to say I do understand in the state the world currently is in. They assured me that they are working on the problem and staffing is getting better. I have ordered a few times from them more times since I posted my original review, once during peak hours (a Friday evening around 5pm), and I can confirm that it was freaky fast delivery each time since. I have updated my review to reflect this change to 5/5 stars and if there is ever an ongoing issue in the future, I will update my review again. I received an email indicating that I had a free side added to my account, which prompted this message. I generally really like Jimmy John's and have eaten at several different stores over the last 20 years. I'm not sure what is going on at this location, but for some reason my sandwiches often have a fishy aftertaste. My wife, who only ever orders the Beach Club un-which lettuce wrap, pointed this out a few years back. She'd get part of the way in to eating her sandwich/wrap, and then stop, saying that it tasted fishy and sort of grossed her out. I didn't notice it at the time with my sandwich, and we didn't completely give up at that point. But, after maybe 3 tries, my wife will no longer eat Jimmy John's. I have also noticed this on a couple of my orders as well since she first noticed it. I'm not sure if there is some cross-contamination occurring after making the tuna salad, but something is not right. I'll give it another shot, one of these days, because I really do love Jimmy John's sandwiches, especially The Gargantuan. Sorry for not reporting this earlier. I'm not trying to get anything for free, nothing like that. But if both my wife and I have noticed this, I don't think we're imagining it, and I wanted to make the management aware of our experience, hoping that the issue...

"Just wanted to let you know I placed a catering order yesterday for delivery today at 12:15. I got a call from the store at 12:30 saying they had no idea when it would be delivered because they are too busy. It could be an hour or more! I have a house full of people waiting for food. I understand busy, but not on an order that was placed yesterday. I am not happy. Thanks Kaitlyn!" This is a message I sent the manager and got zero response. A catered order placed the day before should take priority. I was also told, on the phone, I could cancel the order. That was their solution. The wrong sandwiches arrived on stale bread You have lost a really good customer.
