Great alternative choice for a sandwich shop that isn't another mainstream chain. Prices are about what you would expect for a premium deli sandwich shop. A drink included at the price point would make it much a better value without hitting the companies bottom line in my opinion. I've always been satisfied with the sandwiches here. I don't come to Jason's deli very often, today I stumbled across "The Plain Jane" loaded baked potato. I thought it sounded like a great side to throw in along with my roastbeef and au jus sandwich. However the picture was deceiving as it looked like a normal sized baked potato. Shame on me for not looking at the price on the menu before placing my order. I was somewhat disappointed when after placing my order I spent $8.49 on a loaded baked potato!! I thought to myself "this better be the biggest or best baked potato I've ever had!!" Surely enough it was the biggest lol, however unless you are going to split this potato with 1, 2 or even 3 other people, the idea of selling a potato so large that it's bigger than the main course dish sounds silly to me. I don't see the point in ordering a side that's bigger than the meal and almost the same price. It was so big it almost seemed a little absurd to serve a potato that big. It was more about the overwhelming quantity over quality when ordering this potato. Overall I've always been a happy customer at Jason's deli, but the promotion for this potato came across a little deceiving and had I known exactly what I was getting as far as portion and price I would not have ordered it. Overall though I will still continue to be a...
Read moreSandwiches and a salad bar might sound like a limited selection, until you actually see the menu at Jason's deli. At every visit I've made, the salad bar ingredients continue to tempt. The fresh veggies are exactly that, so someone in my group usually ends up with a huge salad. I however, inevitably end up seated in front of a sandwich. The deli offers an excellent selection of meats and cheeses, making choosing tough. On top of this, you throw in the fresh breads like the muffalata with a crisp crust and dense but tender inner texture, it becomes all but impossible to make a single selection. You'll obviously have to choose, but rest assured you can go back. There is only one drawback to visiting, to have to drive up close enough to look into the restaurant to see if there is seating. Sometimes it can be packed with a line to the door. But don't be fooled by the parking lot alone. The lot may be full, leading you to think that there will not be a table. But as I've learned you might get into one of the few parking spaces available, and walk in to find only a couple of tables occupied. If you're lucky enough to do so, you won't have any pressure to rush your selection. Go ahead and order more than a single sandwich, if you think you...
Read moreThe food was fresh and hot.. I ordered the spinach veggie wrap without cheese and the bowtie pasta without cheese. Both were good but would have been better if I felt I had time to ask for optional toppings to sub the cheese since I'm vegan but I felt so rushed. The cashier seemed more like I was burdening her. I was confused when I came in. Having been my first time there, people were standing and moving around everywhere with no clear indication of where the line should be. The food was worth another visit. I'll try again but next time I'm going to take my time ordering regardless how unhappy the cashier seems because it did cost me $17 for those two items plus a drink. The mushrooms were so big and fresh on the spinach wrap and the pasta was hot and fresh, cooked just right and plentiful. The wrap came with a bag of chips and a delicious crispy pickle. The pasta came with some type of buttered/garlic bread that I would have denied or subbed since I don't eat that, but again, the cashier rushed me and didn't even mention that it came with that so I wasn't...
