I wanted this to be good. I did. But you know that feeling when you step foot in a restaurant and want to leave immediately? You see a few redflags here and there and just want to get the ef out?
Ordering process: There's a tiny little space to order food and all of the patrons are slammed into it, jockeying for position in line. I hated being there immediately. And yet the place was packed. I kept asking myself why so many people come here??!!
Service: I arrived after ordering online. My coworkers received their order immediately. I, of course, did not. The host told me to wait 5 minutes. I now wanted to leave and go to Chipotle or Subway, where I normally go. I received a Spicy Ground Chicken Sandwich, but I ordered an item that cost $3 more than that: Spicy Ground Chicken Kabob. I tried to notify the host that this is not what I ordered. Sure enough, a different person was listed on the receipt. They said "goodbye." Why do people come here?
Food: I thought, "well, even if I got the wrong order. Even if I got charged for something more expensive. Even if that experience was unpleasant back at the restaurant, at least I can take the food back to my office and enjoy it. Actually no. The wrap I received had all of the chewiness of cardboard. It's like they made it three days ago. I was a chore to eat this.
Why do people go here?? There was nothing about my experience here that was good. There are tons of options nearby in Georgetown that offer much better food, service, and hospitality.
I don't write many reviews. Trust me when I tell you not to waste...
Read moreI’ve had dinner in this store in Georgetown a few times and everything was very fresh I’ve even gone to the Kingstown location in Virginia and it’s very good also. I’m leaving a 4 star because most of the time I have a good experience. This last time really disappointed me. Two days ago I ordered Uber Eats I ordered Chicken Kabobs and I guess two sides of salad (it was a little confusing on the Uber eats app). The chicken was good the salad was a little brown, wilted and all of the juices from the chicken made the salad soggy. I ordered extra pita and was going to share it with some of our employees but I ended up throwing it away because they gave me pita that was not fresh it was hard like cardboard. (Usually it’s soft and warm) I’m pregnant and have three weeks to go until I give birth and I ordered Uber eats on my way to our store so I could work and eat I was looking forward to this Dinner but this time was bad. It was $25 dollars and I felt so disappointed. I would suggest putting the chicken on the side maybe (wrapped in foil) would have been better. Definitely don’t give customers old pita because they will notice. Contemplating if I will return to...
Read moreThese are the core things you can expect from a Moby Dick's location: 1. Delicious food (try the Chenjeh - gorgeous marinated beef, try the saffron rice - light and fluffy and mix in that pat of butter and it's like a warm hug for each of your taste buds, you get the bread and yogurt sauce included and it's soft and tasty and the sauce is sightly tangy and on point) 2. Clean 3. Friendly and efficient staff 4. Slightly more expensive than fast food places but the food's on another level. 5. Many locations are open late so you can enjoy this amazing food after having too many drinks. The Georgetown location is the first Moby's ever or at least someone told me that once. I used to work in Georgetown and I can't say too many nice things about that neighborhood but Moby's was one of them. I had a lot of very unproductive afternoons in the office after welcoming that delicious carb bomb in my belly. Don't go to Georgetown but if you...
