This was a wonderful experience! The minimalist decor lent to a soothing and calming atmosphere. The staff was superb in their service and I was extremely impressed. My soul was craving pho and I ordered the fried egg rolls to accompany my chicken pho. Every detail of presentation and flavory fair was demonstrated in the stainless steel chopsticks and beautiful bowl crockery that the amazing pho was served in. A simple and easy way to order the meal was enhanced by the deep consideration of sanitation with their no-touch menus accessible by following the QR code on my table. With every bite, I couldn't wait for the next one because it's savory broth and abundance of basil, cilantro, lime and jalapenos were a divine experience. I walked in with aches and pains but left replete and whole. Thank you to the amazing staff! I can't wait for the next time.

I used to wait in the rain back when Pho Junkies was just a food truck near Farragut, because the pho was just so good and comforting. I’m glad they’ve opened this storefront, although bummed to see they are only open at very specific hours/days. I recognized the man who used run the food truck as the all-around server/chef/owner. His attention to detail and service is impeccable! The pho has an herby aroma and taste, and I was surprised by the great quality of the meat and broth. The spring rolls were also perfectly crisp and flavorful. I can say that after trying so many places within the DC city limits, this is best place to get your pho fix. I’ll be back soon!

I was impressed that the thin slices of beef came out very rare as it should be in order to be further cooked by the broth. The broth was not my favorite, but good enough. I really liked how ordering through the toast app allowed me to customize the toppings. I don’t like bean sprouts in my pho so I was able to choose no bean sprouts and add extra jalapeños. Little more than I’m used to paying for pho but it’s also not located in an inexpensive strip mall in Virginia so I’m sure their rent is way higher. I like the convenience! The ambiance was super chill!

Overall this was a mediocre experience. It took more than 30 minutes for 1 bowl of pho to come out after ordering. (I know the exact time it took because you get charged for the meal when ordering and the Apple Pay notification was at 32min ago when my bowl arrived). I am aware that a dinner rush can cause some delays, but on a Monday and with only 3 menu items, you’d think they’d have a more efficient system. The mandatory order-by-phone system is also very impersonal and a bit depressing, especially when sitting at the bar, where normally things are more social and friendly.

Because one has to order from your own phone’s Toast app/browser, you also have to pay and decide on a tip at the beginning. This is also a suboptimal experience IMO, as I had no idea how the service would be at the time I was asked to pay.

I will say that when the pho finally arrived, it was nicely presented in high-quality ceramic and the lime/jalapeño side dish was neatly organized. The bartender was quick to fill waters which was appreciated. The main waiter / manager did thank me for my patience after I inquired about the half hour wait after ordering, but it would have been nice to have my plate / utensils set in advance of the food coming out as a sign confirming that my order would be coming out eventually. Any communication really would have been...

YES! My new pho go-to. Coming from the west coast, I was really missing a truly comforting bowl of pho. I am super picky about Asian food and Pho Junkies hits the spot. Brand new location, and there are still some kinks to work out, but the pho is solid. Flavorful broth, perfectly cooked toppings, al dente noodles. Still waiting on a beer/wine license, would like to see some appetizers and drink choices other than water, and I wish there was a little bit more customizability (you get up to three meat choices or you get everything). When packing to go, the kitchen should pack the noodles and the broth separately and that didn't happen with my order. But if eating in, a near-perfect...
