The lady behind the counter is not the friendliest human being. There menu prices varies and beware if you ask for clarification. My coworkers referred them, so I tried to order the Monument online, but they don't offer online ordering. So I walked 1 mile from the Waterfront Metro to 3rd/K St SE. I have attached screenshots of the different prices variations online. In their defense the price differences are within pre-Covid thru 2025. I deescalated the tension by ordering and paying $14.84 (tax included) for the Monument. Once I got my sandwich I said "thank you", and the rude woman behind the counter (most likely one of the owners), her ego prevented her from acknowledging me. Which is ok, "the world is not full of sunshine and rainbows" -quote from one of the Rocky movies. But unfortunately I discovered the texture of the rustic bread was disappointing and soggy. Rustic bread typically has a thick, crispy, and often golden brown crust that may crackle in your hand when gently squeezed. My sandwich just fell apart. Good customer service is key to the success of...

I frequently buy sandwiches from this cafe occasionally. Today, my supervisor and I went in and ordered. The owner, the lady stated she was the owner was so rude to my supervisor. She was quite short, rude and even used vulgar language all because my supervisor changed her mind about the bread she wanted. The owner was not nice at all and as the store began to fill with additional customers, she said she hoped that my supervisor did not come back. My supervisor only suggested that she not speak to her in the tone that she used. I will never buy anything from this establishment ever again!!!!! If I had not paid with a cc, I would have asked for my money back. My supervisor refused to pay. Just awful! I don't care how good or great a product is, everyone deserves to be treated...

I really enjoyed this unique deli in this residential area. Their spin on sandwiches are quite flavorful, with quality ingredients. They work hard to quickly fill each order , and they are popular with the locals! Staff was very helpful and friendly, assisting me with my selection and describing the flavors and most popular selections. I also appreciate when they make personal suggested modifications. I will definitely return when I'm back in DC. I highly recommend this local favorite with much flavor, and a healthy meal alternative. Parking may be difficult and limited, so either bring a friend to circle the block and pick you back up while you order, order ahead, get ride assistance, or be patient for a nearby parking...

This place is THE BOMB... I have been coming here for about 3 years since I worked at the DOT and lived in Navy Yard. These sandwiches are legit the BEST. I typically get the Green Line which is vegetarian but have tried the other ones. All ingredients are FRESH and the sandwiches are packed. I took my sister and mom here while they were visiting and we went back every day for lunch. The salads are also good and the specials they had. Also very nice deli items like candies and drinks to go with your meal. The owners are extremely nice, friendly, and make everyone feel welcomed. I am so happy they are making it through COVID and wish them them best. GO bless them up please! Miss Mo
